SIRIUS Satellite RadioSirius unveiled a couple days ago their SIRIUS Interior Glass Mounted Antenna, or SIGMA, created in partner with RecepTec.

No photos of this new interior antenna are available at this time.

The SIGMA is mounted in the shaded sun band of a vehicle's front windshield, has no exposed wiring and is unobtrusive.

In addition to its aesthetic advantage, SIGMA is expected to:

  • Reduce costs due to the elimination of antenna pre-wiring and associated factory installation costs

  • Allow faster and more efficient factory and dealer installations

  • Reduce warranty costs - windshield protection eliminates problems common to exterior mounted antennas such as water leakage, wind noise or detachment due to harsh long term environmental conditions and car wash damage

More to come as news develops.

Shade 45, set to debut next Thursday, October 28th, is Sirius Satellite Radio's latest offering by none other than rapper Eminem.

The new, uncensored hip-hop radio channel created by Eminem, Shady Records, and Interscope Records will feature a full lineup of on-air hosts and DJs, including Eminem's DJ: Green Lantern.

Paul Rosenberg, Eminem's manager and VP of Shady Records, commented, "This is a great kickoff for Shade 45. Giving subscribers the chance to hear everything that's happening at the Shady National Convention as it takes place is exactly the reason we partnered with Sirius. It's uncensored, exclusive, and different from anything else out there."
