XACT ReGo Sirius Satellite Radio: Photo

Even though we announced the unveiling of Sirius' new XACT ReGo unit two days ago, we weren't able to get any good product shots of it until now.
The key feature of the XACT ReGo Record-and-Go unit is it's recording capability. Because it stores your data on removable flash cards, you're not constricted by an internal harddrive's available space. If you want to buy a huge flash card to save more of your own content - you can. Sorta neat.
One thing to note is that while you can download and play MP3s on the ReGo, the Sirius Content that's downloaded is NOT saved in MP3 format saved separately from the flash card part of the player (thanks to all who pointed out that correction) - in an attempt to prevent ripping of Sirius content.
Note: From the information we've gathered, this is NOT a wearable device (like the MyFi or other XM2go units). Meaning you cannot plug in headphones and walk around with the thing. Larry Pesce (Sirius' Senior VP Product Development and Strategic Planning) specifically was asked this at the press event at CES and he said plans to release a 'wearable' device available in the future. He also said that the ReGo was specifically a "plug and play" unit. The ReGo is only as 'portable' as the Xtr1 is. Just wanted to make that clear.

UPDATE:
More information on the ReGo has been released - check it out here.

Hard to get an idea of how big this thing is. Anyone know?

Not sure. I'd assume it's about the same size as the Xtr1.
If I find out, I'll let everyone know.

i believe that the Hi-Res photo is the actual size of the unit. Perfect for little fishing trips when 3 go out, and only one returns.

Cool, you can save the files on Flash cards. Flash cards aren't huge either. Well they are compared to Doug's brain.

Clever!

Yeah - the ReGo is NOT like the MyFi. The term 'portable' has caused a whole bunch of confusion.
It's a small plug-and-play module with Recording abilities. That's about it.

in an ad directly from xact in dealerscope january 2005 edition it states that the xact rego model for sirius radio will be the world's first recordable + uploadable + portable mp3 satellite radio receiver

I work for sirius in activations and am really excited about this new unit. It'll be SMALLER than the starmate, currently our smallest radio, which is slightly larger than a deck of playing cards if I remember correctly.
