XM Satellite Radio launching Spanish Sports Channel

Andres_Cantor-XM-Satellite-Radio.jpgXM Satellite Radio, in partnership with the sports announcer Andres Cantor, is launching a Spanish-language sports network. While both XM and SIRIUS already have Spanish-language channels, this move shows more of an initiative to appeal to the hispanic audience.

The channel is expected to air in July and will feature coverage of soccer as well as other Latino sports including baseball and boxing.

Andres Cantor, known by his trademark "Go-o-o-al!" when a soccer team scores, is also the head honcho of Futbol de Primera, the biggest syndicator of soccer programming for Spanish-language radio.

In the spirit of Satellite Radio, I will not edit or remove any comments unless they are purely promotional. The seven forbidden words are completely acceptable, so go nuts. HTML tags can't be used, but you can simply type an URL (include the http://) to create a live link.
