ex-XM Satellite Radio VP Steve Harris joins ABC Radio

ABC Radio is working to increase it’s multi-cultural programming and has bagged Steve Harris, former VP of External Programming for XM Satellite Radio, to do the job. In his new position he’ll oversee ABC Radio Networks’ Urban and Hispanic radio programming.

We’re always reporting on former Terrestrial execs jump ship to Satellite, so it’s always interesting when the opposite happens. No doubt we’re gonna be seeing a lot of this shuffling going on in the future.

Makes you wonder what's wrong with Steve Harris. Either ABC made him an incredible offer or his career at XM was fading. With the stock options XM provides their key employees you'd have to be crazy to jump ship to terrestrial radio...
