Heritage Foundation senior analyst James Gattuso.

Gattuso recently expressed his frustration with the Department of Justice and its laggard pace in coming to a decision for the Sirius-XM merger, stating:

"...rumors of imminent action at DoJ have frequently made the rounds: the DoJ is going to approve the deal, the DoJ is going to reject the deal, the DoJ is going to attach conditions on the deal.

"I'm half-expecting to read that the DoJ's dog ate the files on the deal."

Well said James.

This is becoming more absurd than a skit on Saturday Night Live.

It's at the point now where I feel the merger A) will be denied after all this and the stock price will tumble or B) the merger will be approved with insane conditions and the stock price will STILL tumble.

It's as if this stock were cursed.

I can't believe the government has dragged this merger out this long. Longer than it took them to decide to go into war in Iraq. It's F'in ridiculous. Idiots every one of em.

Somebody at the DOJ being paid off that is what people are going to start thinking.

I never even hit the send button and it posted so many times

well, i do agree with your statement(s) John and thats why govt has such low approval ratings--I think there will be a slew of reps who have been in govt for awhile voted out as people are sick of them doing whats in the best interests of the "special interests, PACS(see NAB)" and NOT what is in the people who elected them benefit

yea I think there is a problem with the blog comments feature here as it takes forever to send the comment. almost make me not want to comment sometimes.

"I'm half-expecting to read that the DoJ's dog ate the files on the deal."... the dog DID eat the files.. no joke... it's a beast... called GOVERNMENT!! here boy...

Gattuso and the Heritage Foundation were paid by Sirius and XM to support the merger in published comments to the FCC, so you might take anything he says with a grain of salt.

How about a sticky on how to post a comment on the Orbitcast blogs. Almost every day one of the blogs has the same post 2 to 9 times.
