Andrew Dice Clay, who has hosted his own show Out of the Cage on Sirius Howard 101 (ch 101), wrote a lengthy letter on his MySpace blog blasting Opie & Anthony over the 30-day suspension on XM Satellite Radio. In the letter, Dice claims that he "warned [Opie] that this would happen" and that the suspension is "laughable because let's face it- nobody gets silenced from XM once they're hired." The tirad goes on to say that the suspension could have been avoided "if you weren't bent on being Howard Stern."
The rivalry between Dice and both Opie & Anthony extends back several years. Dice used to be a regular guest and was once considered a friend of the O&A show. As recent as last March, Dice was confronted by Opie live on the The Brother Wease Show about their indifferences. Audio of this encounter can be heard here.

Sorry to hear that you've failed again and that the world found out what I already knew. I've told you time and time again, there's a big difference between "filthy" and "funny". There's a big difference between poking fun at somebody and kicking somebody when they're down, which has seemed to be your M.O. I warned you that this would happen.

You could go back to XM and say you have a concept for a one hour radio show- "Square Dancing With Opie." Look, I haven't even had time to think about this and look how fast I came up with something. The advertisement could be you at a pig roast playing a banjo on some hay.

I really wish there was some kind of rehab for people who have lost their edge. Where people like you and Chevy Chase could sit together, reminisce about what it was like to be funny, maybe widdle some wood, and take long walks on a path to nowhere (which is where you've always been going, even when the smoke clears you'll still be on a path to nowhere). Dice is a hack with NO credibility. mrfancypants said it best...when confronted by Opie on Brother Weez's show, he hung up. He is trying to use this as an attention getter. I especially love one of the last lines in his "open letter" - "there is a difference between sold out and sell out". He has been a SELL OUT since his dated act started to lose popularity (when were you popular Dice? oh I forgot way back in the 80s!!).

hey Sternfan...how many high profile people have been on Hoo Hoo's show lately? not too many. Oh and before you start that crap about how Howard is smart enough not to say anything to get him suspended...it is kind of hard to say ANYTHING contriversial when your barely heard live anymore. (personally I would love to make money hand over fist, work only 4 days a week-when I feel like working-, and have how many weeks off for vacation? all for doing what? pretending that people are still listening to him and having dilusions of granduer thinking that he is "a god").
