XM Satellite Radio and AOL Instant Messenger!

AIM adds XM Satellite Radio

This is awesome! The latest version of AOL Instant Messenger, Triton, improves upon a bunch of neato services like its current voice and video chat services, but also adds new awesome features like Internet calling (going after Skype) and access to 20 XM Satellite Radio channels.

The VoIP phone calls will be at a cost, but the XM Satellite Radio channels will free (ad supported). With 43 million AIM users in the U.S., this is some huge exposure.

Madonna and Keith Urban on AOL Music and XM Satellite Radio

Network Live

Network LIVE, the joint venture between AOL, XM and AEG, is distributing exclusive live performances by multi-platinum artists Madonna and Keith Urban to both AOL Music and XM Satellite Radio.

The Madonna event will allow millions to watch the album launch for "Confessions On a Dancefloor" live at the intimate venue, KoKo's in London, on November 15th at 10pm GMT/5pm EST. In addition to the performance, a backstage preview with Madonna will be featured just before she takes the stage in front of 1,500 fans who received tickets through radio contests in more than 40 countries.

Keith Urban will perform his exclusive Network LIVE concert at Irving Plaza on Monday, November 14th, at 10:00 PM EST. Both will be heard on AOL Music and XM Live.

Bon Jovi Concert Multicast Tonight (plus some shamless self promotion)

Bon Jovi Have a Nice Day Hey now this is pretty cool, I just noticed that the boys over at AOL Music have linked to Orbitcast as part of the Bon Jovi concert tonight. The concert is being multicasted by Network LIVE, the joint venture by XM Satellite Radio, AOL and AEG. You can watch it on AOL Music Live or if you've been listening to XM's Boneyard, or uhhh... BON-yard... then you've been hearing Bon Jovi all day long before the live concert tonight at 9pm. This is all part of the kickoff for Bon Jovi's new album Have a Nice Day. Definitely tune into the concert, and Orbitcast tips our hat to AOL Music in appreciation for the link-love.

XM Satellite Radio / AOL to simulcast Bon Jovi: Have A Nice Day

Bon JoviBon Jovi will be the first band ever to perform at the Nokia Theatre Times Square to kickoff the release of their new album Have a Nice Day. In a multimedia extravaganza, Network LIVE (the joint venture between XM, AOL and AEG) will beam the event online to AOL Music LIVE! and to XM Satellite Radio on XM Live (Channel 200), as well as simulcast in High Definition and Dolby 5.1 audio to over 100 Regal, United Artists, Edwards, and Georgia Theatre Company movie screens in 50 U.S. markets. The Bon Jovi: Have A Nice Day multimedia event kicks off on September 19th at 9:00pm (ET), and the World Tour hits the road this fall.
