Black Friday Watch: Sirius Sportster Replay at CompUSA
Continuing with the Black Friday watch, here's one from CompUSA. They're offering up a Sportster Replay for $49.99 - that's after a $40 savings and an addition $40 eRebate.
BFAds isn't sure, but you may need to activate the receiver at the store during purchase.
But... it's the old-school Sportster Replay. What gives? There's better deals than this for the newer generation Sportster 4. Oh right, it's CompUSA.

I commonly visit a nearby Compusa store.
They have a sizable display of both XM and Sirius hardware. But it is all old stuff - one gets the sense they bought in to Sat Radio a couple years ago and and sold about 3 of them sense.
I imagine they're just trying to clear out what they've got and I can't imagine that they would buy in again. Although, you're right, it is Compusa. Retailing geniuses. One gets the idea they don't have a clue what does and doesn't sell.

Sure, the Sportster 4 looks nice, but this "old-school" Sportster has the non-crippled FM transmitter. You know, so you can actually listen to it in your car!

Some of the "old school Sportsters" have the more powerful FM Modulator, but not all of them. My son purchased one that was unusable without a FM modulator relay in the car because the signal is so weak.
