Bob Dylan on XMXM Satellite Radio will premiere Bob Dylan's first studio album in five years, Modern Times, on Monday August 28th.

XM subscribers will be the first to hear the world premiere of Modern Times the day before it’s released to the public, at 12 midnight ET on XM’s Deep Tracks (ch 40), The Village (ch 15) and Hear Music (ch 75), with encores also airing on these channels throughout the day at 6am, 12-noon and 7pm.

XM will also simulcast the world premiere of Modern Times to partners that feature XM channels - including AOL, DirecTV, AirTran Airways and JetBlue.

And with the record’s release on Tuesday August 29th, purchasers of Modern Times (and any other Bob Dylan CD) will receive a bonus disc featuring the popular "baseball" episode of Bob Dylan's "Theme Time Radio Hour" on XM at select retailers, including Circuit City stores. Click to view the Marketing Bulletin (PDF) detailing this.

In addition to baseball-themed songs, the one-hour episode also contains Dylan singing an a cappella rendition of “Take Me Out to the Ball Game.” Back in June, the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum added the "Theme Time Radio Hour" baseball episode to its archives.

After the world premiere and CD release, XM Satellite Radio will air a "Theme Time Radio Hour" marathon, broadcasting every episode of Dylan’s "Theme Time Radio Hour" back-to-back, starting September 1st at 6pm ET on The Village (ch 15) until 12 Midnight ET on September 4th.

Nice, my Inno will be catching this. I love Theme Time Radio Hour, i love Bob!

Speaking of which, why doesn't the Inno have a 'weekly' record feature?

I don't have XM for the home, but I will catch this show via the now free AOL and XM channels. Good stuff.
