(Photo Credit: Scott Harrison)Bubba the Love Sponge held a in depth interview with the folks from FMQB in their latest issue of eQB. During the interview, FMQB asked about the reaction from Bubba's fans on Sirius XM after renewing his contract with the company.
"I think Howard said it best," replied Bubba.
Bubba continued, "[Howard] said, 'You know what, a little bit of Bubba is better than no Bubba at all.'"
He added that the deal, which is for 2-years, is what Sirius XM Radio Inc. could "financially afford at this point."
Bubba highlighted that Sirius XM are "having some issues" with their stock and are experiencing other pressures in addition. "Everybody, broadcasting in general is having issues, so this is what we came up with at this juncture," said Bubba.
So what about the reaction?
"It's too early to tell what the reaction is going to be," Bubba told FMQB. "I think it'll be alright. We don't have to say 'f**k' on the radio to be funny."

Spoken like someone that truly sold out his integrity and the full message of his first 3 years on Satellite in order to make that last little penny.
Nice work, fatso!
What about this great REVOLUTION? How is it revolutionary to go back to FM and rebroadcast to satelitte?
Seems like FM won the fight if you ask me. No more revolution!
"We don't have to say 'f**k' on the radio to be funny."
He just doesn't get it. It's not about profanity. It's about CONTENT and what you are allowed to discuss. Dumb fatass hayseed.
The new Revolution of radio is replays of Bubba on terresterial and Jackie's Joke Hunt.
Can't wait to hear the drones who worship Oral n Anal spout off.
Funny thing is, if Oral n Anal were so fantastic and had such high listenership (outside of the dozen morons who post) then why isn't there an article on them? Maybe because they aren't funny, aren't relevant or the least bit entertaining. Oh don't forget, they want people to actually read the article.
Besides, what would Oral n anal talk about? Their meteoric rise in testicular radio and their massive national network - all 2 of their stations? Fodder for the bird cage.
These two hacks keep knocking Stern and Bubba yet they aren't worthy of holding their used batch wipes.
After all, it's a business and people are in it to make money unless you're oral n anal or ron n pez.
there was a radio show that where given 20 + of Sterns old markets with zero competition and failed at every single one of them that did a sattelite show too claiming to be the new kings of radio...cant remember there name though!
"I think Howard said it best"
*kiss* *kiss* *kiss* *suck* *suck* *suck*
Can't you fucking think on your own without sucking up to Howard and mentioning him every chance you get??
God, it's fucking embarrassing!
As you like to say -- "MAN UP!"
...fatso.
Why does satellite radio promote characters like a "Bubba the Sponge?". It seems to me that there are many, many more positive aspects with more appeal to feature... than this guy.
Howard would hear more than a litte Bubba if HE didnt drive the company into Bankruptcy by signing a $500MM contract and then cashing out most of his stock options.
Who cares. They still do a live show on Friday. The revolution still and always will be HOWARD, everything else is just filler.
Sirius, Howard and Bubba all mislead the listeners. Who wants to pay for a taped regular radio censored show.We are getting less live material now than ever before.Howard's second channel is a joke with only 5 hr. (8pm-midnight)of live programming.
Looks like the so called revolution was a failure. This whole radio war thing is dumb (especially since they're all on the same company now, so the better one show does the better the company does, yet nobody on any side seems to realize this)
don't they mean:
"No Bubba is better then any Bubba at all"?
apparently, since the boys got a better deal then bubba the cumdumpster!
most of HOO HOO's years of ratings came when i-pod's, sat. radio etc. didnt exist in his AM/FM era.
in 2006, i-pods were selling much better then sat. radio was!.... and HOO HOO wasn't even Tops here in philly far towards the end of his FM era.... he got beat out by a terrible morning show called "the preston and steve show" and we all know philly is as loyal as New York fans to his show! AND philly had him 1st in syndication on WYSP!
You must be a really big fan since where the first to even bring them up. And you know so much about their show. Must be listening all day huh, or maybe not because if you did, you would know that they do not mention Bubba or Howard unless one of them mentions them first. I know Howard hasn't said anything O&A for a while, but Bubba did spout off about leaving if O&A are signed. Who got signed first? Who still does a live show 5 days a week on satellite? One more question, why do you have Ned's Taint?
I have listened to Bubba's show and can't stand it because he takes every chance he gets to kiss howies ass. Being thankful is one thing but smooching his ass over and over is sad. So sad that it makes me want to turn the channel. I enjoy the Jay Thomas show, but he gives a kiss to howies ass here and there as well.
I am a O&A/Ron&Fex fan but I listen to a little of everything. I could listen to Bubba's show but that ass kissing is just to much for me.
I agree with jcrean Bubba should "Man Up" and put some chap stick on those lips
"I think Howard said it best," replied Bubba.
"I could never work in an industry with someone named 'Bubba the Love Sponge'" ?
Does anyone even listen to crap like this? Surely the Bevis and Butthead crowd has grown up by now.
I gave up on Bubba a long time ago. His constant poor-mouthing & merch. hawking is both shameless and embarrassing. He's not nearly as relevant or as interesting as he thinks he is.
I hope he enjoys his return to being a big fish in a little pond, (Tampa). It's only a matter of time before he does something stupid for some national attention, gets in trouble and returns to the irrelevance that he truly deserves.
Who is sucking on testicular radio? Only on 2 stations and failing at those.
Who does a live satellite show 5 days a week that a dozen (make that a baker's dozen) people listen to? Who has no social or comical relevance?
One answer - Oral n Anal
Aside from being dropped from stations you never read or hear about those hacks. There simply isn't anything funny or interesting to warrant the time.
They should rename themselves the Power Twins - Oral can take the shape of an empty room (their audience) and Anal can take the form of a downward spiral (their ratings and station revenues)
Don't hate the game, hate the player!
"and returns to the irrelevance that he truly deserves."
O&A have that occupancy all filled up
your welcome
20+ markets down to 1..ZERO POINT ZERO
if bubbas name was jewstein they would of paid him more !!but goyims get screwed !!i canceled howard tv and sirius !!no more of my cash is going to the greedy heebs !!
There are plenty of guys out there who are way better than Bubba and could have easily replaced him. Russ Martin, formerly of KLLI in Dallas, would have been a perfect fit. I think it was Orbitcast who mentioned Phil Hendrie and Neil Rodgers, both of which are better than Bubba on their worst days.
Bubba is average and he's what you listen to when nothing else is on.
Bubbas okay but never really did anything for me. I think Howard is doing some of his best radio in a long time and I love the old stuff. For my money though, the future is Jason Ellis on Faction. There's proof that saying "f**k" on the radio can be funny...it's all in how you say it. ;c)
