Business Week writer Frank Bajak takes the XM’s NavTraffic powered Pioneer AVIC-N2 for a spin through Manhattan’s east side, and had a somewhat unpleasant experience. Like he says in the article, in familiar communiting grounds it might be a little easy to trick, but in unfamiliar terrority it might be a godsend.
My guess is that they’re of course working out the kinks on the system, but to plunk down all that cash only to get semi-exciting results is a little disheartening.
