We've been long awaiting finding out what the XM Canada channel lineup will be, ever since we found out about Sirius Canada's 100 channels. Well, the wait is over, because the XM Canada lineup has just been announced.

Here's the breakdown: 80 channels, 8 of which will be Canadian satellite radio stations.

Also of note, as many noticed with the Sirius Canada lineup that Howard Stern will not be in Canada, but with XM Canada's announcement, Opie and Anthony will be in Canada. Very interesting.

Canadian Satellite Radio has announced that it has received approval to go IPO with the intention to use the proceeds to build up XM Canada.

 
XM Satellite Radio will continue to hold a significant portion of CSR once the IPO is completed, though specifics aren't available on that just yet.
