Gary Parsons - Chairman of the board at XM Satellite Radio - has resigned as a director of WorldSpace, it was revealed today in a SEC filing.

In a letter dated October 18, 2006, Mr. Parsons indicated that he was reducing his outside areas of responsibility, in order to focus more of his attention on his primary responsibilities as Chairman of XM Satellite Radio.

Gary Parsons was elected as a director of WorldSpace on July 18, 2005.

WorldSpace Satellite Radio's Chairman and CEO Noah Samara will participate in the "Consumer Electronics" panel on October 9th at the European Technology Roundtable Exhibition (ETRE) in Barcelona, Spain.

Samara will join international executives on a panel chit-chatting over the convergence of digital entertainment technologies including satellite radio, IPTV, and MP3, the changing market landscape, and - what else - emerging trends.

The executive panel to discuss "Consumer Electronics" will take place on Monday, October 9th, 5:45 - 6:30 p.m. (ET) in the Hotel Arts, Room A Barcelona, Spain. Mark your calendars.
