Tuesday, November 29, 2005 at 3:34 PM

I'm getting a few reports that the DISH Network is giving away free Sirius Satellite Radio receivers (reportedly the Xact Visor) to new subscribers. Has anyone else heard/seen anything about this? Email me. More info on this as information develops...

Sirius S50 Delayed?

Thursday, November 10, 2005 at 7:27 PM

Sirius S50 delayed? There's a ton of reports from various anonymous sources that Sirius' flagship product will be delayed from it's original (UPDATE: forgot it was delayed once before) 2nd week in November arrival date. Crutchfield has changed the arrival date to 11/25, Circuit City has it now listed for December (no Black Friday?!) and Best Buy is back under the "coming soon" moniker.

Word has it that a certain four-letter organization is to blame. Any guesses?

The worst part is that I'm hearing that working display units are arriving at many major retail outlets today.

More on this soon.

Don and Mike to join Satellite Radio?

DCRTV is reporting that Don & Mike might possibly be making the jump to Satellite Radio, citing that Don Geronimo said on the air Tuesday that he was having "serious" (Sirius?) negotiations with someone.

A Get Sirius Info reader points out that AllAccess.com has more on this, hinting very strongly towards Sirius as the satcaster of choice:

On Tuesday's show, after Don Geronimo said that the day off "did not have to do with studio renovations, it did not have to do with anything of a personal nature, we had some serious things to take care of," O'Meara, referring back to a previous topic of discussion, mused that they could put in a "doggie door" for Infinity DC manager Michael Hughes to duck his head in. Geronimo then asked "isn't the logo for SIRIUS Satellite Radio a doggie?" and repeated "I can't talk about why we weren't here yesterday. I'm serious."

Then again, there's further speculation (and a whole lot of it) that this is involved with the much talked about 'meeting with an enemy' that Opie is reportedly having.

More on this as info comes in.

Thanks Damian!
