Bubba the Love Sponge told the St. Petersberg Times that starting on January 9th, he'll be taking over the afternoon drive spot on Howard 100. He'll be broadcasting out of his home in Tampa, where he built for himself a $250,000 studio.

"Howard and I are on the ground level of the next big thing in radio. When [satellite radio] does blow up - we'll be the pioneers. And Howard was the only person who has given us an opportunity," said Bubba.
