CES: Audiovox Press Event, XM Mini-Tuner Gets The Spotlight

At the Audiovox press event, several new products were unveiled - including a very impressive XM Mini-Tuner compatible GPS/Nav system. Actually, the XM Mini-Tuner has a very strong presence in all of Audiovox's new satellite radio products.
Here's some pics from the press event. I'll quickly go over what is being showcased, and then follow up with more detailed posts shortly.
On the left is three of Audiovox's new portable GPS navigation systems. The top two are XM Mini-Tuner compatible, with the top one being the absolute coolest one.
It features a touch-screen interface, being demo'd here while the presentation continues.

Now we've moved on to demonstrate Audiovox's new tabletop radios that support the XM Mini-Tuner. These are pretty cool.
Now we're looking at another set of desktop radios, but these are both XM (through the Mini-Tuner of course) as well as iPod ready.
Moving to an entire section dedicated to XM, we see the XM Mini-Tuner as well as their other XM products (note Audiovox's XM2go in the background).
One interesting thing: Audiovox is currently in development with a new set of plug-and-play units, but they weren't ready yet at this time, so didn't make a showing at CES.

Audiovox has invested heavily in technology to support XM. The mini-tuner is doing ALOT for XM right now!

I think a good part of Audiovox's involvement in XM came through their acquisition of Terk. Terk had a number of things going on, including XM (and Sirius) antennas, the XM Commander, and the XM Direct universal tuner and select XM Direct interfaces as well. It's good to see Audiovox embracing XM's technology like this!

Cool. I'm actually pretty interested in the XM/iPod tabletop radio.

I'm hoping someone comes out with a Home/Car unit with 50 hours internal XM storage,and a 2 gig mini SD slot for home mp3s.A good built in FM modulator.And a home Cradle recharger.
I don't like the Xm2 go form factor.
