Farm Aid 2009 - an annual event that raises funds to keep farm families on their land - will be broadcast live on today, October 4th at 2pm in St. Louis on Willie Nelson's Willie's Place channel (Sirius channel 64 and XM channel 13). The lineup will include:
- Performances by Farm Aid Board Members Willie Nelson, Neil Young, John Mellencamp and Dave Matthews who will perform with Tim Reynolds
- And dozens more performances including: Wilco, Jason Mraz, Gretchen Wilson, Jamey Johnson, Billy Joe Shaver, Phosphorescent, Will Dailey, Ernie Isley & the Jam Band, Ryan Bingham & the Dead Horses, The Blackwood Quartet and Lukas Nelson and Promise of the Real.
Sirius XM host Dallas Wayne will bring listeners backstage at the event as he interviews various artists and guests and will offer up-to-the-minute updates from behind the scenes.

Farm Aid was initially organized by Willie Nelson, Neil Young and John Mellencamp in 1985 to raise awareness of the loss of family farms and to raise funds to keep farm families on their land. Each year, the Farm Aid concert brings together top talent and raises awareness about the important work of family farmers and raises money for Farm Aid's work to guarantee good food from family farms.
