FMQB interviews Opie & Anthony (and Jim Nordon too)
The guys over at FMQB had a chance to sit down with Opie & Anthony and crew after the show a few weeks back, and have featured them for their latest e-FMQB article. It's a very detailed article, and even non-fans might want to take a gander at it as it paints a great picture of what the show is about.
Then again, with quotes like these:
"So many radio shows are cowards, but we aren’t afraid of any other radio show. There is no show in the country that we don’t want to argue with. As soon as we get badmouthed, we attack immediately."
...maybe this is just inciting a riot in the Orbitcast comments.
Whatever. It's still a great interview and you should check it out.

Rename this "FMQB interviews the NUMBER 1 RADIO SHOW IN AMERICA". Only way to dispute that is to say "No dick, Ron and Fez are number one!". :)

great article, you can tell it was written by an O and A pest. It is clear that Free FM is the future of radio. Old Hoo Hoo is going to bankrupt sirius because nobody listens to him and he makes so much money. Now everyone is cathcing the o and a virus on free fm and there is nothing that will stop it. I cant wait until the ratings are realesed and we are number 1 in NYC. O and A Party Rock!

tussel, nice to see a fellow pest on this website. I love ron and fez but they arent in the same league as the bbboys. Id say the top three radio personalities of all time are (in order) the boys, Ron and Fezzy and Imus.
Posted by: Ramone ? | June 15, 2006 5:23 PM
Ramone, have you even listened to Imus? I mean reeeeally listen to him.
Crackhead bob makes more sense then he does.
And yes o&a will be number 1 in ny and probably in philly too. They are not competing against anyone in philly anyway.

Ah, retarded O & A fans unite as one. It brings a tear to my eye...

Awsome article, hard to read though because pretty much the entire article stated everything they have been saying on the show for a long time. Im seeing more and more of my friends listen to them now. Back in the WNEW days they wouldnt even give them a chance. Im an XM subscriber and have been listening to them for years, and I think the fact that they are on CBS also, now makes their show better because all those cringe moments and skits are being heard by so many more people and makes for better radio. O&A party roooock!

this just shows that O & A are failing
Posted by: NWXMDUDE ? | June 15, 2006 6:12 PM
I'm a big fan of O&A, and that was a good interview overall... But how can a supposedly legit publication have so many typos & mistakes?
The White Stripes? uh... no. Dennis Leary? Try Denis. Scott Ferrrell? Does his name really have 3 r's?
I'm far from being the spelling/grammar police, but it just seems sloppy and amateurish for a legit publication to publish stuff like that.
Posted by: MJunk | June 15, 2006 6:37 PM
If O&A are failing NWXMDUDE then how come every couple weeks they are being syndicated in new markets? Why would anyone hire a failing show?
Posted by: Pat Battle | June 15, 2006 7:01 PM
ramone says the top three radio personalities of all time are o and a ron and fez and imus that is the funniest thing he has typed yet what a moron this guy is lol

Who is Jim Nordon?
Posted by: Dale Cruse | June 15, 2006 7:53 PM
who are your top 3 of all time johnk?
Posted by: Ramone ? | June 15, 2006 8:46 PM
Hey Sticker Boy Ramone. How do you type with the cock in your mouth blocking the view of the screen? I guess you do have a "talent"...
Posted by: MikeHunt ? | June 15, 2006 9:05 PM
Top three radio hosts of all time: Howard Stern, Jay Thomas, Riley Martin.
Hoo-Hoo sucks, tell em fred! Spread the yeast infection!
Posted by: FaFaFluFly ? | June 15, 2006 9:26 PM
Ramone, you're an embarrassment to every O&A fan. It's guys like you who give us a bad name. Grow up before posting your childish bullshit anymore. "You bring nothing to the table."
Gracias for the article Ryan.

I think ramone needs a tender sentament

o&a suck. they are not funny. and all jimmy does is curse at people. but hey, at least people dont have to pay to listen to how much they suck anymore!

bud light - i am just trying to help spread the virus. us pests need to stick together. i hope to make general someday and you shouldnt be talking trash about me man.
Posted by: Ramone ? | June 15, 2006 10:09 PM
For fuck's sake...
It's Jim NorTon.
Posted by: MeatFarley | June 15, 2006 11:19 PM
You're spreading nothing but idiocy.
By the way, with the last part of your post, I believe you exposed the fact you're not really an O&A fan. Only a fucking retard would say "I hope to make general someday," or someone saying that in a mocking tone.
Bottom line, I'm not a fucking "pest" & the only thing I'd stick to you is C4. I'm a fan of the show who isn't committed enough to ever be part of a radio army.
Ryan, I know you probably don't like to ban people, but this guy is as bad as the former idiot fanboys of Sirius. Please do something before you lose all intelligent members.

Holy shit dude.
Ramone: every comment in response to you contains something along the lines of "you're an idiot" and "you're embarassing the rest of us" - it's not funny or benefitting (to anyone).
Today, I pardon you. But consider this your final warning.

When one says they are failing they are refering to the joke about the show, you tool! Hoo-Hoo said they would fail and they are failing so they joke that if this is failing, they hope to fail like this more... It is sarcasm... Lost on you.
I am a fan as well, loved the article, but does every single story, article, ect have to talk about Howie? He is not relevant anymore. He WAS but now he is on a network that has like 4 million subs, and that's it.
I do not think that the media and the boys obsess about Stern but articles like this don't help that argument.
Posted by: The Squeaky Wheel | June 16, 2006 7:41 AM
Fighting back when other shows insult them? They're ripping off Howard!

"But how can a supposedly legit publication have so many typos & mistakes?"
Uh... It's FMQB. Call it a hunch, but I doubt they can afford editors and/or fact checkers.
...And, even though this is not a democracy, I vote for banning Sticker Boy Ramone for life. He'll probably just sign on under another name, but it's a start.

Jesus, does FMQB claim to be an objective site about radio? That article should have come with O&A autographed kneepads. It's obvious the author was wearing his.
Nothing against Opie and Anthony; they're just two guys trying to make it in a tough business. Holy Christ, though, that really was the literary equivalent of a sloppy blowjob.
Posted by: crankymediaguy ? | June 17, 2006 6:49 AM
sloppy blowjob....the kind Matt Drudge gives Howard?
You can't go to drugereport.com without some Howard news on there every other day.
Yet O & A make the transition and nothing.
