Fred NorrisFred Norris of "The Howard Stern Show" recently did an interview with Suburbarazzi on a smattering of topics. Nothing earth shattering was revealed, but it's a fun read for fans.

Among the items discussed, Fred gives his view of whether or not Howard would re-sign his contract with Sirius:

"Three years from now is three years from now. You know what? I think he was thinking he was going to leave radio before he went to satellite. He could be a man of his word this time and walk away at the top, but I think he’d be sitting at home for six months and maybe wondering, ‘Hmm, maybe I could just do this show like once a week,’ and before you know it, who knows? We’ll see. The future remains to be seen."

Hey here's a thought: in three years, if in fact we'll be able to get Internet Radio in the car, what's to stop Stern from starting up his own "Howard Radio" stream?

Wow, Fred. nice pic.

Every time a radio personality retires they miss it ang come back.

I think people are counting way to much on internet to cars and it will take much longer than people think for a working system that does not cut out.

Maybe in 3 years we will know if the Merger is going to happen... ; )

If he re-signs, he'll probably stipulate one day work weeks and 51 weeks of vacation for 900 million.

Maybe he will want the same deal XM gave Oprah 19 1/2 hours a year.

You can bet that if the merger goes thru that Stern will NOT get $500 million for his next five year contract. Stern, while still a celebrity, will have done for Sirius what he had been hired for and Sirius paid dearly for that. They both made money, actually Stern made way more money. With no bidding war in sight his contract will be be for far less and will likely be for far less shows, like once a week as the article mentions. I won't go so far as to "guess" a number because we're talking three years in advance. Stern would take the new contact when it's offered as no other terrestrial station will come close to what satrad's offer will be, but if he doesn't take it that's life as nothing lasts forever.

having a signal that doesnt cut out didnt stop sirius from making car units....why would it stop internet radio? besides in about 20yrs we are gonna be able to recieve an audio signal staight to our brain!! so itll be howard in our thoughts and howard in our dreams......jus sayin

Hoo Hoo, Fred,

If I'm so much better than O & A, and they're a 0.0 in every market, and they're getting dropped from every radio station in the country, why do the guests on my Sirius satellite radio show suck so bad.

Just asking. Hoo Hoo.

Sorry, Hoo Hoo, I got nothin' to tell 'em this time. Even Chris Rock finally jumped ship on you for O & A. Oh well, at least you still have us and all of your leftover fans. It ain't worth $500,000,000, but at least it's something.

Thanks for nothin', Fred. Boo Hoo. Hoo Hoo. Boo Hoo. What is Sirius goes broke before I collect the rest of my $500,000,000?

Am I still going to get my raise?

I figure this is almost 2011 we're talking about. So all this current shit with guests on different shows doesn't really mean shit. What'll happen is what'll happen. I am not much of a Stern fan but I do have to say Norris is pretty creative. I think maybe O&A could use someone like him to give a different dynamic to the show.

whats the deal with the Hoo Hoo Nazi like arm bands?

Hoo Hoo, Jeff

It's not a Nazi rip-off, it's a Hunter S. Thompson rip-off. I just removed one thumb from his double-thumbed fist of Gonzo. Besides, I invented the double-thumbed fist way before he did. Tell 'em, Fred.

Is that Chris Rock calling?

Hoo Hoo

WHATEVER point you are tring to make its crazy talk, Chris Rock was on about 3 months ago plugging that P.O.S. "I think I love my wife" movie. He will go to other shows to plug whatever he is doing, and Howard is on vacation the week he did O and A.

"Is that Chris Rock calling?" YES IT IS BUT NO ONE IS LEFT IN TOWN ITS CHRISTMAS, OH WAIT, O AND A ARE THERE. I guess I have to do that show.

Howard said 0.0 in Chi. and L.V. because of +/- 1.0 and they were under 1.0, did not say evey station.
