HOO HOO I invented live bands playing in the studio, right Robin? All of radio rips me off.

I'll be sitting on the beach with my crappy Audiovox PNP3 Boombox enjoying the entire special. They did a great job with the last one.

I just hope the reception's good. I've had trouble with that particular piece of hardware before...

Is Frank the Frowner retarded?

I don't think so. His screen name isn't that of an unfunny 6 year old.

franks upset that they put no thought into the virus.

Wasnt this done before?

And who doesnt love Frank The Frowner?

"franks upset that they put no thought into the virus."

You're right, they never do anything for the fans... if they would only do a comedy tour in different markets.

Hey, Mike Hunt's my real name. It was a tough childhood.

"Hey, Mike Hunt's my real name. It was a tough childhood."

No offense..but blame your parents.

ya know i am glad howie is getting a day off, that guy works his ass off, I can't wait for what is sure to be a hoot of a show on thursday and friday.

hoo hoo I still invented channels that recycle old shit

tellemfred.

Have 0.0pie & Andy ever done a music special?

If so, would anybody really CARE?

"You're right, they never do anything for the fans... if they would only do a comedy tour in different markets."

That you idiots pay for. Nobody is benefiting more than Opie and Andy. And they even seel t-shirts. What radio hacks

I love O & A fans....If your a Howard fan Sirius offers 2 channels 24-7, with shows from Jackie the joke man to live stand up acts broadcasted from 2000 seat theaters. not to mention Howard 100 news and at least 15 other shows, You get specials all the time from the best of Billy West special to the Music specials. and many many many more.

Now.........If your a O & A fan ( and according to the ratings, and the turn out at the protest theirs not many ) what do you get??????????????????????
3 hours of FCC regulated, commercial packed, watered down bullshit. and 2 hours of XM. thats when their not suspended. (again as if anyone cared, we all seen the video on youtube of the 20-30 pest that showed up to protest in soupport)

face it kids Howards channels mop the floor with the virius channels because they spend more than 3 mins a day programming them.

prove me wrong morons and look back through this site and find me an announcment of a upcomin O & A special.

in the wise words of Katt Williams....." Its ok ill wait"

"in the wise words of Katt Williams..... 'Its ok ill wait'"

I thought he said never in the history of ... Ah never mind.

Look what a Philadelphia Entertainment columnist said about WYSP changing names.

http://tinyurl.com/2a2alt
"Free' no more
WYSP (94.1) just dropped the "Free FM" moniker that 12 CBS Radio stations had adopted in a marketing ploy following Howard Stern's departure for the pay world of Sirius satellite radio. WYSP's guy-talk format is unchanged, under the slogan "94 Talks."

WYSP's mission is to provide "unique, unduplicated content for men in Philadelphia," says general manager David Yadgaroff, brushing aside notions that WYSP might return to rock after 18 months and challenge leader WMMR (93.3). Clear Channel did that five weeks ago by flipping its short-lived Spanish station at 104.5 to rock.

WYSP, once on top, has a way to go. In its target of men 18 to 49, it was 13th out of 28 stations in May's Arbitron rankings. Brightest spot was afternooner Kidd Chris, who was sixth and might be a wiser choice for mornings than the middling-rated and syndicated Opie & Anthony. WYSP has been looking for a program director since last month, when Gil Edwards was let go."

Sigh.

Greg and Tony: Zero. Point. Zero.

You're expelled from Faber, faggots.

:)

"prove me wrong morons and look back through this site and find me an announcment of a upcomin O & A special."

So this website is the only place that makes O&A announcements? Way to prove a point red.ash . You are truly brilliant. When was the last time Howard and his cast put on a comedy show for thousands of people in different markets all over the country? When was the last time Howard and company stayed after the event into the early hours of the morning to meet, take pictures with and sign items for their fans?

"Its ok ill wait"

This is a great website but it is not the end all on all radio news. You might want to know what you are tearing down before you make the effort to type up a two paragraph slam. O&A isn't Howard Stern, he was around first and broke ground... O&A are still on the rise and still care about their fans...in comparing the two as shows is fair..but to say Howard does more for his listeners is a joke.

"When was the last time Howard and his cast put on a comedy show for thousands of people in different markets all over the country? When was the last time Howard and company stayed after the event into the early hours of the morning to meet, take pictures with and sign items for their fans?"

Actually, they're out doing comedy shows pretty much every week in different markets. Just sayin'

While O&A definitely go out more often to get their balls licked by, for the most part, really lonely people(not a slight on O&A; 1. Howard had to do the same things back in the day and 2. I'm sure it feels great) on meet and greets, Stern provides much more on air entertainment than they do.

When you have a much smaller audience like O&A do, you almost have to go out all the time and say hello. AGAIN, not a slight on O&A. Its just true. Bubba knows he has to do the same thing.

"Actually, they're out doing comedy shows pretty much every week in different markets. Just sayin'"

It's not the same as the O&A Traveling Virus...and I think you know that. Right now Howard has a small audience again and he's still not going out to meet the fans. It is just truly amazing to see how little Stern fans know about other radio shows yet they believe they are being treated the best by the show they love.

"prove me wrong morons "

Ron and Fez = The Best Thing Going.

And i love Katt Williams

You're right. It is different. O&A has testicle radio and its sponsors to back them to do a show that allows them to actually build(Key word) a larger, potentially paying, audience. Where was the Traveling Virus when they were solely on XM? Did they hate you then, now they love you? If they loved you so much, they would've stayed on XM and ONLY XM. But the truth is, they got a boatload of money to allow their artistic integrity to be shat on for 60% of the show, every day, every week.

Oh wait, they did it because they love yous. My appologies, ma'am.

You O&A fags sure need a lot of love and attention in order for you to love the radio show back. Didn’t have it as much when you were kids you little pests? Did your fathers beat you senseless for being fatties? That's really pathetic to me; but to you guys see it as some sort of honor wasting your time in events about a hacky radio show. But please look at it in the third perspective and pretend not to be a Howard or O&A zombie.

Opie and Anthony are both in their mid 40's. Anthony is 46, Opie is 44, and they're going to half-sold out comedy shows in the middle of the night. Is it because they love their fans? Or is it because of the money and exposure? They're selling t-shirts in the shows for god's sake! That is so tacky! If they have a huge fan base, they wouldn't need to sell some shitty t-shirts. If they have a huge fan base, their comedy shows would be sold out. If they really cared about their fans and not their money, the concerts would be for free.

Opie and Andy need exposure in a bad way and these concerts are the perfect way to do that. That's why they went back to terrestrial radio; because they want more exposure and a bigger audience. Their XM numbers were pathetic at best, so why not try and get some more people listening by giving most their show for free and shitting on their XM audience? It didn't really matter for the XM'ers though, because they're thoroughly brainwashed to the point that anything their masters say to them, they'll buy. They're perfectly comfortable paying for something that's free already. That's the true meaning of a "zombie" right there.

Opie and Andy have to go through painful meet and greets with all you losers because they need an audience. They're ratings are very mediocre. They're not awful, but they're not great either. They're not even good. Believe me, if they had Howard numbers, they would be relaxing and sitting in their Hamptons’ houses right about now, but in order to reach that goal, they need to do the meet and greets hack radio people have to go through like Bubba the Hack Sponge. Keep reaching for the stars bbbboys! Ha ha ha!

Yet again Stern fans reduce themselves to name calling and inaccurate information to make a point. Good job. Keep drinking the Stern Kool Aide and dreaming that your show is the only thing out there worth listening to.

I'd rather be on a train going up the mountain over a the train that is slowly pulling into the retirement station at bursts of 4 days a week.

Is it really that scary to think that there might be other radio shows out there that are more fan friendly?

By the way I'd love to see where you all got ratings for XM or even Sirius stations.

"They're ratings are very mediocre. "

...in other news.. hooked on phonics doesn't work for Stern fans.

HA! My point MUST be right! I made fun of the opposing group!

jesus man where do you people get your info...... if you are going to write paragraphs about people you should make sure your facts are straight, or you will look ill informed and silly like Jorge.

Howard put in his time out doing meet and greets already. Hes past that shit. O & A still have to do it. Not to mention Howards an A-lister. Dont you know the line would be 3-4 hours long? He would probley get mobbed.

Lets break it down kidos.

1 hit movie
3 NY times bestselling books
1 hit tv show
20 + years ruleing NY radio
15 + years with the #1 #2 or #3 radio show synidacated in other markets ( depending on the market)
1 IN DEMAND channel
1 Fan site that to this day is more active than all the O & A fans sites combined and multiplied by 20.
and much much more

bottom line his meet and greet days are over, as they fuckin should be. you dont see Al Pachino or Tiger Woods out at BOBOS comedy club at 11pm on a sat night greeting fans and signin autographes while slanging shity T-shirts.

For the non Sirius subscribers, it would be worth signing up for the free three day trial to listen to this broadcast. It is pretty good stuff.

Boy oh boy. This music special really takes me back. I love it...

Fantastic job by the whole Stern staff!

What a great special that was. Kudos to Stern/Sirius for continued killer content.
