Howard Stern's PenthouseHoward Stern effectively doubled the size of his penthouse condominium in Manhattan when he bought the apartment directly below for $15.1 million, according to the New York Post.

His current condo on 54th floor of the Millennium Tower, which is at 101 W. 67th Street, measures in at around 4,200 square feet. He first bought into the building in 1998, and combined two units (3,138 sqft, and 1,011 sqft), for just under $5.8 million.

But with the addition of the apartment below his current condo, Stern is effectively doubling the size of his residence to a respectable 8,400 square feet.

“Before he bought it, he had to get permission from the building's board to combine the floors," one resident told The Post.

According to the Brown Harris Stevens listing, the “triple-mint" eight-room apartment on the 53rd floor includes three bedrooms, 4.5 baths, an office and a library. Not bad, but it's still only half the size of his 16,000 sqft mansion which is still under construction in Southampton.

Opie's apt, Stern's apt.
blah, blah, blah

More baths than bedrooms what does that say?

Building his own rest home? Or is this what he keeps once Horseface divorces him and takes the house in the Hamptons?

Stern talks about retiring and heading south to Florida as soon as his current contract is up, I wonder if this means he still isn't ready to leave the city, or Sirius.

Hey if you've got it, spend it.

That's a pretty nice pad, I'm sure Howard has an easy time relaxing there.

Without Alison...I mean ALISON!!!!

More baths than bedrooms what does that say?
Likes Indian food?

I respect the man's right to take whatever he can get and to consume it as conspicuously as possible.

But isn't there something a bit obscene about Stern spending all this money while Sirius lost $863 Million in '05, the year he was hired, lost 1.1 Billion, his first year on the job, and will lose $600M or more (not counting merger-related costs) this year, his 2nd year on the job, and will certainly lose untold hundreds of millions in his third year on the job?

Admittedly, the cost of this pad is an immaterial drop in the bucket to SIRI's losses; but damn.

It just looks bad.

i think stern could have afforded a $15mil condo prior to going to sirius. I'm gonna estimate that he's been making >1mil a year since the late '80s! even after the divorce..

hahahahah

if you heard the re-run of the chris rock interview he told howard he better buy the appartment under him so he can hide their once he gets married, like he used to hide in the basement when he was married to allison.

hahahahah

Of course he's expanding his apartment. You know how much room you need to build a stable?

Whinny, whinny. Klip-klop, klip-klop.

He needs all that space and spend all that money to just fit in the damn room. Fucking ego trip.

Wow...a guy gives it hell all these years, wants to enjoy him self, and all the O&A Marks, get worked into a shoot about the whole thing...

I bet if Opie and or Anthony did something like this, we'd be praising them into the high heavens.

its because 0.0 fans are hipocrites and are Howard obsessed!

look no further!
