Talkers magazine has selected SIRIUS' Howard Stern to receive its 2006 Freedom of Speech Award. Stern will receive the award on June 10th during the annual New Media Seminar in New York.

Talkers magazine has selected SIRIUS' Howard Stern to receive its 2006 Freedom of Speech Award. Stern will receive the award on June 10th during the annual New Media Seminar in New York.

Also, Stern silenced all he could in the coporation from talking about him, so that no one could defend themselves when he openly stole from other shows.
There are numerous times when he would play a parody song and claim other shows were ripping him off if they played it, even when it was the other show that produced, recorded, and engineered it.
In some instances, the parody song was recorded off live feeds of other shows, and when Howard played it you can hear the other jocks laughing in the recording.
I guess lying is a form of free speech. He does plenty of that, so the award is earned.
