Is it a Merger... or Buyout?

Here's a thought:
What if this XM/Sirius deal is actually a part of a much larger buyout scenario? Maybe for either both of the companies, or for the combined entity?

I don't know, just a thought. Let's just call it random speculation for now.

Holy crap, Clear Channel just bought them both! This is going to suck.

Anything is possible...so many angles to this and a buyout can be a possibility. I just keep thinking if the merger is going to happen what type of hardware will be coming out and will it be a tiered priced plan etc. This is endless and I need a drink thinking about it.

STOP this is all BS total BS. a rag of a newspaper is reporting total BS as usual. How many people out there really think Rosanne Barrs child was taken away by Aliens? The New York Post is not exactly the Inquirer.. but is aint far off. Know the source and you know its total BS.

That seems as if it could be possible - I guess..... but the thought of one buyout of both companies - all at once - seems TOO huge.

I would think the buyout of one company would be far more likely to happen. I can even think of one company in particular that seems a good candidate to buyout one of them.

But you didn't say that, did you? You said both companies...all at once...as part of a much larger deal....

Random thought, huh? Hmmmm......

Ha! Shouldn't we all be ignoring yet another rumour... not adding to it? All I would have asked for was that they floated this tomorrow since thanks to President's day, the markets are closed and my stock won't get a boost.

Funny Ryan! Trying to pass this stuff off on yor readers. LOL

What a day today! Wonder what the corporate name is going to be - SiriusX???? My guess is Sirius and XM brands stay separate for years as they both continue to grow under one corporate umbrella

Sirius Radio on XM (treat XM as the band as Sirius as the "Radio station") so we could truly have AM/FM/XM on all radios going forward?

Yes....Let's just call it random speculation for now.

Indeed.

yea agree with muscles. it will slowly evolve through corporate mutation lol, not right away. But I usually dont buy into this bs either but now i think both companies are at a crossroads. The FCC is coming down to hard on these guys. XM seems as if they hit a wall and cant seem to grow. Sirius could use the helping hand as well if it will speed the process of turning into a strong company.

Competition is good, but now i think it is time for an allaince. And to everyone who says there gonna cancel there sub, it really wont be that bad. You will get used to it, especially when they start coming out with innovative products and you can have them both!

I understand, but it not about the music. It is about the sports and O&A/R&F, Stern and the differing ways of doing organic programming.

Do not want to see King Mel destroy the great XM programming. I do not like the Sirius 'personna' if you will. Like Coke vs. Pepsi. They DO taste different.

So should I keep my Sirius stocks or sell them off?
