Well it was rumored that this would happen, so it's little surprise that it has: Ron & Fez, the "other" dynamic duo from XM Satellite Radio's The Virus (ch 202), have signed an agreement with CBS Radio.
The deal puts Ron & Fezzy on CBS Radio's WFNY New York lineup weekdays from 6pm-9pm ET.
They begin broadcasting on WFNY immediately. Hopefully Fez will be able to get himself a home now.
Is this show going to be aired simultaneously on XM radio as well as their afternoon show, or is this FM exclusive?
it's FM exclusive. Listened to the last hour of the show and there was a higher energy lever for sure. I hope it gets to be back on XM, but I somehow doubt it now.
YAY! BUDDAYS!
The most frustrating hour of my life was last night, trying to glean some snippets of the buddays between all the buffering as WFNY re-loaded over dial-up. Bah humbug!
The consensus- unless I'm being too optimistic- from people on R&F message boards who've gotten responses from E-Lo is that the evening show is planned to be on XM starting in the new year. (Perhaps when the Christmas channels go away and there's some bandwidth freed up for a 203 channel?) And I think last night's show was the only new one before January anyway... R&F/FM will be playing WNEW "best ofs" for the next few weeks.
Given XM's record of jerking people around vis-a-vis 203 and related issues, it wouldn't hurt for people to hassle E-Lo a little bit over this one. (As if he cares what we think, I know, I know...) I sent him an email yesterday expressing my disappointment at finding O&A's second replay on my XM when R&F were live down the street, and I encourage everyone else to do so as well. Sometimes letter-writing works.
E-Lo cares. Let him know what we want. :)

They are helping they're own exposure, and ron and fez are doing DOUBLE THE RADIO. Its two seperate shows. they are doing 6 hours of radio a day.. Doing the xm show first, and then the fm show. So r&f fans are getting more. Still debate on the o&a deal. But with ron and fez, the fans are defineatly getting more. Opie And Anthony, and R&F are saving WFNY's butts, along with the great John Menelli..

I agree Sirius has exclusive content but it’s far from superior. As an XM and Sirius subscriber the only talk worth listening to on Sirius is NFL radio. The rest including Howard Stern is AWFUL! Their music channels are also sub par compared to XM as well. Sirius music is way to terrestrial radio like.

O & A are funny Ron @ FEZ are Great , hope they get it worked out so more listeners are able to tune into both of them. I first heard Ron and Fez down in Fla. in the 90's and followed ever since. The true shoot down of Sirius would be the reunion of the Ron & Ron show with Fezzy of course. SeeeYaaa Buddies...
