I think both shows are enjoyable in their own ways. Me? I have XM and O & A. Howard has a larger audience and I think it will stay that way for awhile, as he's broken through to a more mainstream audience. O & A are just coming back, and while their show is definitely funnier, they just don't have the fanbase (yet). I expect Howard to cream them at first.

I think people loyal to Howard are reluctant to give O & A a shot, which I can understand. I was that way too and if a Mancow fan insisted that he was better than my show, I'd be irritated too. All I can say is O & A's show is much more relevant to my life. I give not one shit about the celebs on Stern's show, while O & A will talk about things that interest me, i.e. video games and other geeky things. I've found O & A are much more audience involved and clever.. but then again, Howard was funny back in the day. To each their own.

All I gotta say is spread the virus! Hardcore Stern fans will continue to listen to his boring ass show no matter, and will not admit that he has been slipping in the past couple of years. He is just not as funny. Give O&A a chance and you'll wonder why you haven't started listening earlier.

Opie and Anthony are the first to enter into the realm of Satilite radio, not your ol' pal Howie, like he has been saying. I hope you all have lots of fun listening to crappy commercial radio for the next year and a half, Infinity will never, NEVER, sell off Hoo Hoo's contract. The little doggy company will never catch XM in subscriptions, even with Hoo Hoo and the "Golfer" girl sidekick! This will be a fun little ride though, as the little doggy runs out into traffic and gets run over by the O&A big rig!! (insert loud truck horn here) Spread the virus!

OMFG! My buddy has XM and i borrowed it to listen to Opie and Anthony..... i was bored out of my mind. There was nothing there. NOTHING!
I heard a pretty good source tell me that the ratings for O&A are pretty pathetic, but its ok cuz XM isnt spending any "real" money on O&A. I tried looking for the rating figures from XM , but i dont think XM has released them. HAHAHAHHAHA!!!! That's a sure sign of "shame"! You're right.... the virus is spreading and it's deadly to themselves. O&A are nobodys and being at XM they continue to be nobodies. O&A's popularity can only decrease on satellite, while Howard is still promoting, raising eyebrows and has millions and millions of followers to follow him to SIRIUS. And not only that, but also the curious will be more open to checking out satellite radio. HOWARD WINS AGAIN!!!!

Well I have listened to Howard for the last few years and I have been bored out of my mind. I beleive he has his following and we were all Howard fans at some point. However, his show is stale and most listeners listen to him out of habit. O&A are fresh and will contiue to build an audience. Stern will probably continue to have his aduience of the hardcores but not many of the "average joe." Of the people that have XM , O&A are drawing from all over the country. Not bad for a show that was primarily an East Coast staple. I beleive O&A will eventually win this. Howard hasnt done a decent show in years. Lets see if he has anything on Sirius. Maybe he'll do a show and not a bunch of strippers for the whole show. That act is old. Spread the Virus

Ok..who fucking cares who goes to XM and who goes to SIRIUS. Ok.... now im curious.

I checked figures and it turns out that Opie and Anthony made a buzz at XM for the first 3 weeks. Very slight, I might add. But since they first went onto to XM,their ratings have fallen and it seems like the show will continue to decline and not only that, but there are "2" sports radio talkshows that have higher ratings than Opie and Anthony. Thats not good.

As far as Howard going to Sirius it is too early to tell, but by the fan support showing in New York it's quite remarkable. The report says they passed out 500 Sirius radios along with 20,000 (yes, twenty thousand) certificates for free radios. If anything thats the way to spread a virus. Even if not everyone subscribes, X-mas is right around the corner and this is the best promotion anyone at XM or Sirius could of came up with.

I guess so far the edge is definitely Howard Stern.

Read a couple of comments. Sure yesterday was a bit boring but according to another poster, he's been bored for years. So you weigh it...bored for a day, or bored for a year. I'll take a fist of bored for the day in order to get the total O and A experience. Fucking awsome.

Stern is such a wuss, he censors his own messageboard to keep off any mention, topical or not, of O&A on his board. Members are banned, just for mentioning their names.
Even the famous director Kevin Smith had his posts neutered for mentioning O&A, the very same day he was a guest on Sterns show! Can you smell the hypocrisy?
Let's be realistic here. People showed up to the rally for the free stuff. And the numbers that DID show were paltry compared to other Stern rallies.
Face facts, his days are numbered, and O&A are the only ones with the balls to take on the 500lb gorilla.

O&A are not funny, I have listened and I dont like. Opie does a (poor) Howard impersonations but he really is just a scared little boy who isnt charismatic at all. Could you see Opie pulling off a Letterman appearance? He's just not an entertainer.

Way to listent to show. If you really did listen to the show, you would know Opie doesnt do impersonations. Plus I think we have a difference of opinion on entertainment. If you call doing the same stripper shows and an informericial for Kerry for the past month, enetertaining, then Stern wins.

Plus, give the boys sometime and they'll be doing interviews more on a consistent basis. If anything this rally, has people talking.

I have XM. Ive had it for about 10 months. I have tuned into Opie and Anthony and its a bit refreshing. I must admit that they make me laugh a bit in the morning and im glad i can tune in a regular basis.
Now, what i dont like is that I had to pay $2.50. I dont really mind cuz i got a free 12 months of 2 channels to choose from as a gift.
Sure the boys are funny, but i find the novelty wearing off. They were refreshing, young and youthful voices, but now its getting somewhat repetitive. I will not continue to pay the extra money to listen to Opie and Anthony 2 months from now. I gotta say that I drive around a lot and found myself listening to Howard Stern a bit more and more even when I have the free O&A on my XM. Now, will i switch to Sirius from XM? I dont know. I'd like to, to be honest, but not sure. IF someone were to give me a free Sirius radio, absolutely I would. I just think that Howard might and will indeed bring more to the table, plus the guests are a bit better, i feel.

I have XM and sure, i listen to O&A. Ive listened for a good 2 weeks now. The only reason its interesting is cuz there's 3 guys to listen to and they sound fresh and juvenile which is great......but man, theres a lot of dead air. A lot is just blabber. Just guys chatting. I dont know man, i wish i had Sirius though. I'd give my xm for x-mas to someone if it werent tacky to do. Maybe on E-Bay.
Im going to Sirius, plus XM's hip hop's stations are wack, their latin stations blow and no mexican regional stations or pop stations either. Im SO going to SIRIUS when Howard jumps ship.

ok ive been reading your crazy arguments here, remember the reason howard is leaving his former radio station is why guys? because he cannot and is not allowed to do the things he wants to do, so on sirius his is allowed so much more freedome and free to do as he pleases. he could have a girl getting gang banged on his show by beatlejuice and three retards and have no restrictions, then ask the girl questions while beetljuice is goin at it, who wouldnt wanna listen to that? no matter how gross it sounds im sure you'd wanna tune in or at least find out what was said and what happened
