Red Dragons! Rising radio superstar Jason Ellis (aka "The Future") has extended his contract with Sirius XM Radio Inc. Information remains scant about the contract details, but Ellismate isn't going anywhere, so who cares.
The Jason Ellis Show airs on Faction (Sirius channel 28, XM channel 52) every weekday from 3pm to 7pm ET. The Best of Ellis airs on Sundays, also on Faction, starting at 3pm ET.
If that's not enough, and it isn't, then you can catch Not Necessarily the Best of Ellis on The Virus (XM channel 202, Sirius channel 197) starting at 7pm ET.

He's an unfunny hack. Hopefully this new deal will take him off 202. You can tell the boys don't like him and only interact with him because they are forced to by the suits. The vast majority of 202 listeners can't stand the guy either.
I herd his show and thought it was awesome,well mabey it was just the 13 second comercial for his show but found it very entertaining while I listened.I'm a long time caller first time listener.I think he is Cory from australia with the delicious nipple rings.FRRRRRRUNKIS.

There is no one who is more of a hack and as unfunny as Jason Ellis. I'll listen to Faction once in awhile but never between 3pm - 7pm on weekdays. It's awful and embarrassing radio. Worst ever.

i like Ellis and I am a 202 listener, I think the guy is pretty inspiring. I knew they would keep him he does have a good core audience I think. I see though how he is not for everyone, but calling someone a hack is well.... hack.

Hell yeah! Ellis is definitely the future and his few hours a week is the funniest thing on 202. With Stern headed off to the nursing home soon, its time for Ellismate to take over.

What happened to the SNV on 202? I miss Big Kev's Geek Stuff, Black Phillip, Uninformed, & Weird Medicine. Jason Ellis's Red Dragon schtick gets old, and I know I'm not the only one who turns the channel when he's on.

I swear, with every move SXM makes, it's as if they are =trying= to antagonize subscribers -- first dumbing-down music content to the point where most stations are physically painful to listen to, then by re-upping talkers whose shows are (surprise!) also pain-inducing.
Like I wanna pay (and this part is really grating on me now) over forty bucks each month (three subs) to be hit in the head with a hammer every time I use my radios?
Please, please, please... stop signing bad talent. Stop =re=signing bad talent. Stop running interesting and capable talent off the service. Stop making me cringe whenever I reach for the power button.

ykw, why exactly do you have 3 subscriptions? If you have a stiletto, or the xm equivelant, then how hard is it to have a dock in your car, dock at home, dock at work, then headphones whenever you are on the go. 1 subscription, 1 price. It's your own fault for having 3 subscriptions if it's only you yourself that listens to it.
Have to agree with Ryan. At one point, pre-merger, I had 5 subscriptions...and didn't mind the cost at all. I could always find stuff I wanted to listen to. Now, I've come all the way down to 1 radio, and the premium online sub for my iphone...all the rest became unnecessary as Sirius removed all the content that was great from XM. Once O&A finish their contract, I'll be done altogether. Slacker and Pandora destroy SXM content-wise, and Stern's lack of caring about his show forced me out of the best of sirius package about a month after trying it out. The reality is that you can listen to both Stern and O&A on shoutcast these days, but I don't want to be a complete thief and hurt the boys chances of a contract redo if that's what they want.
Compared to only 24 months ago, can anyone believe how far the content of satrad has fallen?
Ellis is okay but I don't find it half as entertaining as O&A (w/Lil Jimmie) or Ron & Fez. Of course I am older and out of his demographic I guess.
If Sirius has the ability to pay $100 mil/year for the joke that was (you know who) then I'd think Ellis is a bargain at any price. At least he can draw an audience and he IS "the future".
