Jason Ellis joins The Virus

I used to love Bubba's show but, since the switch to censored radio, I now listen to Ellis. Ellis does a great show. I haven't listened to Bubba for months now.

Who Gives a Shit; Who Gives a Fuck. I'd rather listen to Octomom do a radio show. I'll cut my ears off, lick my hairy nipples, & blow Ryan Seacrest before I listen to this. Comment 1 out.

The one good thing about the merger has been discovering Ellis. When I first heard him, I was annoyed that a guy was talking on a music channel. I listened to hate him but his show hooked me in. He was talking about boating with his daughter. He's a really good storyteller and a nutjob. Fast paced show that some will love and as stated here, some will hate. Give him a chance on XM 52.

(Hey ssssMel, You stink like sirius dog poo! I think you have found a way to push people over the edge (and drop their subscriptions). Your latest BS about BIG NEWS, and your lack of response to the iPhone application "delay" have done me in. You have lost me as a customer and I disrespect you for your silence. Don't think you can just wait and tell us all the BIG NEWS at one time. You are really messing up, in a BIG NEWS kind of way!)

He was awful on O&A yesterday and this will be a one shot deal. The vast majority of 202 listeners didn't like it, and O&A themselves were not impressed. They are stuck with this hack this weekend, but that will be it.

The guy is a hack and belongs on Howard's channels with the rest of his kind.

This is exciting, and really the only good thing for me out of the merger. It almost makes up for losing Fungus. Ellis is a perfect fit for the Virus. He's kinda like a late afternoon Red Bull after a laid back Ron & Fez show. Makes the day cruise by.

I just hope the rest of the pests give him a chance and don't just rip him on the boards like they do with nearly everything else. Ellis seems to be a pretty positive guy, and I'd hate to see things get wrecked by the message board tough-guy stuff.

I wanted to throw my radio out the window yesterday when he was on. What a boring, loud and annoying radio something.

I vowed never to tune into "Faction" all because of how he made me feel yesterday. A little extreme i know, but so was he.

Actually there is no "leader of the pests" that's probably some other fucking troll for another radio show.

As a ONA/RNF fan he was OK, but just trying so hard and probably nervous, plus with Jim Jeffries on his ass, it didn't help. I'm sure he's better in his natural environment versus a call in.

Well, so much for pests not being way too negative out of the gates.

Ellis is definitely Virus-type radio, where you hate it initially, and then you realize it's ok, and then you're telling everyone you know about it. I guess the board folks are just happy with their incestuous little world, and don't want to let anything new into it.

It's sad, in the past O&A fans would be happy to try something new and suppport guys that O&A like. If they started to hype a show with hosts that sound like a dude out of goodfellas, and another dude that sounds like Paul Lynde, the pests would be screaming "Those queers are hacks!" At WNEW, the fans grew to love those guys, anticipated crossover shows, and built the Virus we have today..

It's kinda sad that the fans the boys attract now aren't able to stretch out and try new things. It's the same reason Ronnie B. is always complaining about callers. Everyone's trying to be Jimmy or Ant and not enjoying what they're listening to.

This Howard vs. O&A shit has really gotten old. No one cares whose team you're on. Howard and O&A don't give a shit whose team you are on either. Go to your message boards and fight it out there. This post was just an announcement that Jason Ellis will be playing on the Virus on Saturday, not who's cooler O&A or Howard. I have been disappointed over and over with the changes since the merger. Channels going away, channels merging, etc etc. WTF happened to the punk channel, oh we needed an AC/DC channel, that's right. I am a die hard O&A fan and that was the reason I bought my XM years ago. Recently my girlfriend turned me on to Jason Ellis on Faction. At first I was unsure but the more I listened the more I loved his show. He really is in touch with our generation. Unfortunately this monopoly that somehow legally happened has somewhat screwed those like my GF who has Sirius in here NEW vehicle. Now she will have to pay extra to get the Virus, since we really could give a rats ass about Howard who really is lost in reality kinda like McCain.

honestly, ellis has the best show on satellite and he is the only reason i haven't canceled my subscription. all hail the present and the future!

After the merger and channel reorganization, I put Faction on my list of favorites. I was pissed a couple times originally that a radio show was on a music channel, but when I started listening to it I realized just how funny he is. Its a completely different type of show from O&A, yet I think they fit. Again its a love it or hate it kinda thing, just like O&A can be. I didn't know what Ellis had going on with other radio shows, so it was nice to see that he's getting some respect from O&A. I personally welcome it, and would like to see him do afternoons from 3-7 on 202 and then get the one O&A replay from 7:30-12. That would make me very happy.

This guy was one of the reasons I could not stand the Sirius version of Octane. He use to be on Octane in the mornings and was one of the most annoying, pathetic, and worst DJ's I ever heard. He is cancer to the ears. I never listen to The Virus and this gives me so much less incentive to do so.

Finally some talent on that channel. They should go ahead and change it to the Jason Ellis channel as Oral n Anal are fading back into obscurity. Oral n Anal need to pick a successor because they're not cutting it.

Oral hand picked Ellis. That's about the funniest thing I've heard. You have to have some talent to recognize talent and he couldn't recognize talent if it was humping his leg.

Haven't heard much about the stellar Oral n Anal ratings at WXRK. I guess with the station being 21st in the market there isn't much to say. How much longer before they are dumped and will be forced to either podcast or relocate to a smaller market they can actually handle? I hear the weather in Guam is pretty nice.

Damn. I was hoping this crap would be yanked off Faction rather than just being cross-promoted (and on the weekend, to boot, a time when The Virus often finds itself pre-empted for sports coverage, anyway).

If, for some inexplicable reason, this show absolutely has to continue, there's no reason it can't continue on a channel built to showcase programs of its ilk. Especially, of course, when there are several such channels on the SXM platforms already.

As it stands, though, SXM is trying to pump listenership of a talk show on a music channel. By promoting it on a talk channel. You know, a channel that plays talk programs. Like the Ellis program. Which normally runs on a music channel. But doesn't play music. On a music channel.

It's just mindbogglingly stupid.

Talk belongs on talk stations. That's why they're called "talk stations". Music belongs on music stations. That's why they're called "music stations".

The fact that terr-rad lost sight of this years ago (there was a time earlier in this decade that the top two alt stations and the top rock station in my area all had morning programs that didn't play music!) was and remains a primary motivator in getting people to seek out terr-rad alternatives you didn't get your music in someone else's talker or your gabfest in someone else's rocker.

They're two great tastes that taste like crap together.

And, now that SXM has seen fit to deliberately ape terr-rad's error, they're two great tastes that are driving people to the Next Big Thing.

Just looking at her makes me reminisce about one of my favorite TV shows from the past, "Twin Peaks." There are 8 wonders of the world - correct? Well, now there are officially 10! If they could install airbags like those into all the new cars, the auto crisis would be over in a heartbeat! There is nothing like her in my town - not by a long shot. The women I work with have sideburns and shave their backs at least once a week. The only person I personally know with tits that big is the guy I work for, "Ed." He goes 5'9" and about 330. I work with about 9 or 10 women( I use that term lightly; most of them look like they should be grazing on the Serengeti) and I have a nicer ass than all of them. What's that razor chicks use to shave their legs... the Venus or something? These chicks have to use weedwackers and hedge trimmers before they can even think of finishing the deforestation project with some dainty razor! These chicks around here don't shop at Victoria's Secret or Frederick's of Hollywood - the all pile into a Silverado and head for Home Depo to buy their bras and panties. There's nothing sexier than when a chick squats down and the top of her thong says "Carhartt." They all drive pick ups, watch football and hocky, and come into the place wearing steel toe work-boots. I went to a local Walmart the other day and it looked like a petting zoo. The women looked like Mickey Rourke in "The Wrestler."

I am fortunate to live on the West Side of LA, but trust me I know what your saying because I'm from the East Coast and my family has a house in NH in the sticks and most woman drive pickups, are missing teeth, are hauling lumber to build their out house and carry their children under their arms. The kids someontimes hang on their armpit hair and the husbands are stuck in the crack of their ass. I've gone into stores like Steinmart and the only size they sell are 16W and higher and it's not because they sold out of the normal sizes. And if those sizes run out, they just go to the tents in the camping area.

...not that they will care nor even admit that you are amongst a
large group of subscribers that have been voicing their displeasure
for a long time.

However, it's good to get complaints documented and more people
who are dissatisfied with the dumbing down of music programming
around here should let Sirius know. Of course, at Sirius, "The Customer
is always wrong!"

BTW, I welcome Jason Ellis aboard the Virus -- not that I even intend to listen to him.

All I can say is that if Jason Ellis has no talent then he's on the right channel. He'll fit right in with the rest of the losers on the virus.

I woke up this morning, turned on Sirius/XM (I have it on all night long, actually), and went to the kitchen to get some breakfast. I usually have cereal, a banana, and some orange juice. For some reason I had an icredible craving for some large, ripe melons! I can't wait for them to be in season - I'm gonna get me a couple. I think orgasmic.... er... organic would be the way to go - don't you think?

My point is this - get satellite in the house and let it fill your crib with non stop melodious tunes. You will love it, and wonder why you didn't listen outside of the car in the first place.
