Jason joins Todd Bruss, David Bressler, and Joe Turner as an equal
partner to the team.
He'll utilize his multi-platform expertise to help drive NiceMac's mobile and desktop application efforts for what they say to be "many new and exciting platforms" in addition to contributing to future product lines.

yippie! So, they don't have the application built. I see, and all along I thought it was Apple holding it up.
Would be nice to actually have that iphone app..Can't find it on iTunes and its been over 4 months since the alpha that Ryan spoke about...Doubtful it will ever get released.
WOW!
So when can I get sirius on my iphone without using orb? I am anxiously awaiting the day!
Thank goodness! This app was taking way, way too long to get to market. At least now they made the right decision to hire a guy that on his own (pretty much) has figured it out.
It also says that the guys before were a lot more about developing a pretty UI and couldn't get the functionality working.
At least their egos weren't big and they made a good decision. uSirius works great for Xbox 360 (see whatcomestomind.com) and now they might actually get this app out the door!
This will indeed help move things along for the iPhone version of StarPlayr.
Those of you stating we didn't have an application complete, you couldn't be more off base. In fact Jason has seen the application and can vouch for it's existence and function.
We had two approaches, both very good, and each with it's strengths and weaknesses.
The combination of our efforts and the best of both designs will help us deliver a better application.
Thank you all for your patience.

To set the record Straight:
NiceMac LLC is combining technologies with uSirius. NiceMac had its own StreamSmart web service that interfaces with SiriusXM, and facilities Lyrics, AlbumArt, Sponsor Management System. We also have code needed for the iPhone to interface directly with StreamSmart™. NiceMac does have StarPlayr for iPhone and 90% of what was there worked excellent.
Jason Millard did a fantastic job with its user interface and libraries and did a good job with getting the Audio to play smoothly on Edge, 3G and WiFi. And now that StreamSmart is being added to uSirius, it will be less of a load for the iPhone to do alots of parsing from multiple sources. He's also done a great job threading his app so it plays when the phone is locked.
StarPlayr for iPhone did have some set backs with Audio and we were looking to use an AAC or MP3 Stream but it didn't look like that was going to be possible. Thanks to working with Jason, the native Sirius stream is no longer an issue and we can proceed forward using what Sirius XM has provided already for its other desktop counterparts.
Both companies have services that directly complement each other. All four of us have put in over 3 years of work on StarPlayr, uSirius and StarLight. And all four of us have real products not vaporware.
If you still have any doubts, take a look at our current products for Windows, Windows Mobile, Mac. Next year we will be on Blackberry, Android, Linux and Xbox and iPhone.
Sincerely,
Goodtime
NiceMac LLC
StarLight XM Developer
In short, we were missing a key component to finish the iPhone and do it the right way. We're smart enough to know where we are lacking and find and hire the right talent for the job.
Without question, Jason Millard will play a pivotal role with the iPhone and StarPlayr 3.0 for Mac.
After the technologies are combined, It will be pending Apple's approval and do expect possibly a revision or two before it is fully approved available for sale. We're not out of the woods yet, but we are one step closer.
It's always another month (or 2) away. You could have been honest with us before, now the stock is at .14 cents and it really doesn't matter if you have a product or not. SiriusXM is dying quicker than you can deliver the product. We are all going to the cleaners on this one.
Duke Nukem Forever, anyone?
When the iPhone app is done, count on my money. That simple. I'm very eager to get this app! :)
Thanks for the hard work!

Wow! Great news! Lets hope that this moves things along faster. :)
please do not hold four people, who are not paid by sirius xm, accountable for the economy and sirius xm's drop in stock price.
we have been honest but some things are kept confidential. we release what we can and are working day and night and need i remind you we do have fay jobs and commute.
no one else has sirius xm working together in one app on four or more platforms.

DO you have to have a jailbreaked I-Phone for the XM app?
No, you will not need jailbreaking and do any type of VooDoo to your 2.1 iPhone or later.
All you will have to do is purchase the application at the AppStore after it is available.
This is NOT Duke Nukem Forever. In fact most decent video games take more than a year to produce. Obviously this is not a video game, but it a heft project to do on the iPhone. We have had to overcome many obstacles to get to where we are today. Our application does exist and is in private beta testing as we speak. We have been working less than a year with Apple's SDK.
Please give us few weeks to combine the technologies of Jason Millard's uSirius, GeeksToolBox's StreamSmart™ and NiceMac LLC's StarPlayr/StarLightXM technologies. And let us focus on what we need to do to bring you the finest SiriusXM product every produced by the third party.
Note: A release date has never been set for the iPhone by NiceMac LLC. We have only ackowledged that we are working on producing an SiriusXM streaming app for the iPhone. Our website has only stated, "Coming Soon" for the iPhone. Any misinformation was not released by us, but from rumors, bloggers, the business media and reader speculation.
We have had many other projects to work on besides the iPhone and there were times were we could not go any further with the iPhone, so we were forced to pick back up other projects in order to stay keep the business alive and well. To date we are on Windows Mobile, Mac, PC, and soon BlackBerry. We took a look are where the lowest fruits were and the iPhone was clear it was going to take longer than the other 4 platforms.
Today, the iPhone app is back on track. Due to contractual agreements, that's all we can say at this time.
So far NiceMac LLC is the only company to have converged Sirius+XM players on Mac, PC, Windows Mobile and iPhone. I hope our users realize the significance of this and that no other company has been able to turn around this many Sirius XM software products in less than one quarter.
Call me still skeptical.
Millard did a fantastic job on uXM... it worked great... but nothing in months, even after 2.0 and AppStore was available.
StarPlayr looooks nice... but I'd rather have something available now that works.
Combining talents is great, but if you can't get this thing out soon you're going to lose out to somebody else. I'll buy whoever comes out with a working product first.
At this rate, I wouldn't be surprised if the little doggie company comes out with their own app first.
Why keep pressuring these guys to get something out quick? Are you at the terminal coding all night all too? I doubt it. After all it is the time of giving. Merry XMas. Why not put your figures where your mouths are and write some Objective-C or JAVA code for yourself.
Good things come to those who wait and if you can't hold your horses (or reindeers) there are plenty of cool alternatives to listen to SiriusXM. Try using one of those.
Do you think SiriusXM over Edge or even 3G is going to be awesome? Apple does not allow bandwidth hogs on AT&Ts network. I doubt you'll get over 64k. You'll probably be stuck at low 32k quality. Wow that's nice! You'd be better of using a real Sirius XM Radio and hook it up to your computer and create your own IceCast stream out of it and design an internet remote control for the radio.
I have never seen so many impatient users in my entire life. Are you going to die if you don't have SiriusXM on your iPhone? No you're not. Don't you know the iPhone was never orginally designed to have an SDK? Don't you know the SDK is crippled by Apple? Only Apple is allow to create background apps. Do you think a SiriusXM player will run in the background?
If you think it is so easy, then you should have spent the last 6 months making one for yourself. I'm going to wait for the new app to come out. If Sirius XM had something, they would have released it by now. They are so lame, they can't even make an online player that is useful.
I'm pretty sure both uSirius and StarPlayr were missing something and that's why they decided to trade secrets and finish one of their two apps together. If it was easy as Pi to put something out, it would have happened a long time ago. My guess is the iPhone is not fast enough to do what they want it do it and are having to re-engineer everything just to make it work. And I Sirus-ly doubt SiriusXM is making it any easier on them. They are probably sitting on the sidelines waiting to see if this lil company can bail them out with the iPhone app and they could have possibly maybe hired them to do the work and maybe help them along? SiriusXM is a big company and they are moving too slow. Blame SiriusXM for not creating an iPhone app or not having the sense to hire these guys fulltime, pay 4x their current salaries and get the job done. That obviously hasn't happened.
I'm sure if people keep pressuring these guys, they might just go onto something else where users appreciate their hard work. And I am positive they are not thrilled with the pressure tactics either obvserved on Orbitcast and other sites. Leave these guys alone and allow them to put out a quality product.
I don't mind waiting for the best possible product to be made. Let's just hope Sirius XM stays in business. After seeing the StarPlayr i can't wait to see what they do next.
The App looks fantastic and I am excited for the release! Great job!
Can't wait for it to hit the AppStore. A friend of mind said that it will be awesome.
