Let's see: Now what is the average age of a satellite radio subscriber? What current age demograph almost completely does not listen to radio whatsoever?

People. The programming doesn't change. They just do a show and then they are done. It's not a big thing. Top 20 On 20 did a special with the Joe Bros I believe last year around Thanksgiving or Christmas. This is NO different.

This is the kind of unique, eclectic music that I have been yearning for!!! Thank God for Sirius/Xm. With Brittany in rehab, and Tiffany retired, not to mention Debbie Gibson getting a bit long in the tooth and trying her hand on Broadway, there has been slim pickin's as far as cutting edge vocalists and world class musicians to listen to. Thanks for filling the void, you master programmers you! These Jonas Brothers kick ass; definitely the best and most influential band since the Doors!
I love my Sirius/XM. They know just what a discriminating niche group that pays their hard earned money..... they know just what we want to listen to. It's like they have a crystal ball or something !!!

I've always wanted to stuff 20 on 20's request box and get a song like "Anti-Social Masturbator" by GG Allin or something by Cannibal Corpse ("Force-Fed Broken Glass" would work) played on there.

The ability to reach into the creative minds of a band like the Jonas Brothers is something you just can't get anywhere else - and those minds are a national treasure. This is not some sort of new initiative or change in our thinking. I'm a believer in that there is a wide spectrum of tastes in all of our listeners. We're also trying to do our job, and provide the most unique amount of Jonas Brothers content with the spectrum available. It's about getting the most amount of breadth we could have, with the most amount depth. Meaning that the breadth is the horizontal appeal, and the depth is the vertical appeal. We looked at every element of each channel, from the playlists to the jocks, and tried to bring it together so subscribers and listeners get the best Jonas Brothers experience they can have. If you look at what each service had to offer, you need to bring in those assets from each side (the great Jonas Brothers assets that are missing from the other service) and build a mix of vertical and horizontal content. And, finally, remember this: We simply never ever, ever, EVER censor our Jonas Brothers programming. These are artists of the utmost creditability and we respect their work. The word 'censorship' really gets to me, because it's completely not what the Jonas Brothers are about. We feel that the subscriber and listener are paramount to Sirius XM on one side, and the Jonas Brothers are paramount to us on the other side of the equation.
In 5 years nobody will even remember the Jonas "Brothers".
There was a web site I came across that was talking about name which one of these guys will come out of the closet. But my question is more like which one isn't gay? If you look at how they dress and act it hard to imagine any of them aren't. But who knows? I know they can't sing worth a crap and why the girls are all so crazy for them just amazes me. I guess it doesn't take much these days. They better enjoy it while they got it, because you just sort of know these guys aren't going to be long term artist.
These Jonas Brothers, like this Miley Cyrus character, are without a doubt the least talented, obnoxious, annoying, pathetic, insufferable, offensive, irritating, pitiful excuses for singers... for entertainers... that the world has ever seen. They are vile. They are disturbing. They are a joke. They are a disgrace. They are so far below the level of mediocre that if you mutiplied their talent by 1000, they might reach the level of ordinary.

A girl who has been exploited by, of all people, the Disney empire - they make sure that she acts and dresses like a meat district hooker - and whos voice sounds like a 50 year old female ( or male?) truck driver, is not what satellite radio subscribers want to hear on there radios. A bunch of fruity looking brothers, who look like Geek Squad rejects and can barely even lip sync, is not what the subscribers are looking for either.
Mel and his cronies don't seem to understand this most basic fact of life; we bought the radios and subscribed for one reason and one reason only - to get away from this type of sordid, unlistenable crap. We don't want it taking up valuable space on the channel lineup. It is shit. You are insulting your audience by even offering it. Remove it. It sucks. The people who are fans of these marketing creations are complete idiots. They don't own the radios. Stop wasting time and money trying to appeal to an audience that doesn't even exist. Maybe if you devoted the same energy and devotion to the audience that DOES EXIST, well you just might see less churn, more subscriptions, and a not so bleek future staring you in the face.

No, not really my friend. The point of satellite radio is to give you more choices than standard terrestrial radio. Satellite currently does provide an alternative, and at the same time, provides the similar programming that terrestrial radio offers as well. I'm not a fan of the Jonas Bros myself, but I know they do one thing....they sell records and they have a lot of fans....so what if the channel allows them to "take over" for the weekend, their fans certainly won't get that on their local top 40 station. You can't ignore what's hot right now, that is what a lot of subscribers look for as well.

Hey!........... I love the Jonas Brothers and are their official biggest fan..... I dream about them... No really.... I even learnt guitar so that one day maybe I could meet them. Unfortunatley I don't have enough money to go and see their shows and stuff. I just watch it on the web or TV. I'm only 10 but think the Bonus Jonas is soooooooo cool. Actually I'm listening to Jonas Brothers songs as I write!!! OOOOO SOS has just come on... My favourite Jonas Brothers song is Hold On! It's on NEXT!!!!!!!
