In an effort to reduce/eliminate comment spam, I've implemented an accessible CAPTCHA for anyone who isn't signed into TypeKey. It's easy, all you need to do is type in "orbitcast" before you post.
This'll prevent all the ridiculous spambots from bombarding me, and again, it doesn't apply to peeps who are signed in via TypeKey.
More features coming soon...

(Silly Ryan, SPAMBot is not afraid of your pathetic defenses.)
Want to make 10,000,000,000,000 a month??!!??? Call me at 1-800-YOU-WISH!
I kid, I kid.:D
This is a great site and I'm glad you are taking steps to keep it that way.
I wasn't really impressed with TypePad... WordPress is the blogging software for me!
Doesn;t it say "Powered by Movable Type" on the homepage? Ryan's not running TypePad.
Thanks iband, much appreciated. I feel like this site is sucking the life out of me, and this is an easy fix that saves me a ton of time.
The spam problem actually wasn't anything you could see from the outside because they would never actually get published. But it was something that was taking up a lot of my time on the backend. I still want the site to be accessible (for the blind, handicapped, etc) so this is a good solution.
And more good news: now that the spam has stopped, the system should be faster now.
realwx: It's Movable Type, not TypePad. :)
Hey Ryan, can you point me to the MT's Captcha app you're using? I stopped working on my site all together due to the spam raping I've received.
Hey Ryan, thanks so much for doing this. I am blind and use screenreading software, and why other sites haven't put a similar system in place is quite beyond me. Thanks again for making this such an easy site to access.
Wow Toonhead, that's so great that it has worked well for you. I've tried my best to keep the site accessible, so it's really nice to hear that someone with a screenreader has had success.
Schimshamity: Not a problem, it's an amazingly simple plugin called Comment Challenge. Within a couple minutes, you'll be spam-free... my Junk comments were over 50,000 (and that's in less than a month), and now they're at ZERO.
This is just the first of many great changes coming down the pipe...
