Maurice Jones-Drew's Satellite Radio Show debuts August 7th

Maurice Jones-Drew's new weekly fantasy football talk show Runnin' with MJD will debut this Saturday, August 7th (7 - 9pm ET) on Sirius XM's new Fantasy Sports Radio channel which is dedicated to fantasy sports.

Maurice Jones-Drew (pictured above, next to The Howard Stern Show's Gary Dell'Abate) is the Pro Bowl running back for the Jacksonville Jaguars and is well known as being an outstanding performer on the field. He finished the 2009 NFL season in the top 5 in rushing yards, TDs and all-purpose yards - plus, add to that, he's an avid fantasy football player off the field.
Jones-Drew will take calls from listeners and offer his advice for drafts, trades, waiver wire moves and other fantasy football matters throughout the season.  Fans who are wondering what defense to draft or mulling over a trade proposal can call in and get Maurice's thoughts on the subject.

Runnin' with MJD is the show title determined by fans who voted online.

Jones-Drew and Jacksonville radio personality Mike Dempsey will host a two-hour call-in show live at 7pm Fridays throughout the NFL season.

Due to Jaguars team activities on Friday, August 6th, and the team's first preseason game on Friday, August 13th, the show will shift to Saturday, August 7th, and Saturday, August 14th, for those weeks.

Jones-Drew will also manage his own fantasy football team on the show and share his first-hand knowledge on the best fantasy football performers from around the NFL.

"I'm friends with a lot of guys around this league but if they're on my fantasy roster it's all business," says Jones-Drew.  "If they're not performing for me, I may just call them up live on air and cut them."

He'll compete this season in a league that also includes teams managed by fellow Sirius XM hosts Chris 'Mad Dog' Russo, former MLB general manager Steve Phillips, nine-time NHL All-Star Jeremy Roenick, Emmy Award-winning actor Jay Thomas, Howard Stern Show executive producer Gary Dell'Abate, Howard 101's Scott Ferrall and others.

The Sirius XM Fantasy Sports Radio channel debuted July 1st on XM channel 147 and on Sirius channel 211 (for subscribers who purchase the "Best of XM" package).
