WOW! Sirius Satellite Radio and Mercedes-Benz have extended their agreement with each other till 2012, and more importantly Mercedes-Benz has agreed to offer Sirius as a standard feature beginning with select 2007 model years.
To start, Mercedes-Benz plans to offer Sirius as a standard feature on all 2007 model year SL-Class and CL-Class vehicles, and all AMG and 600 model vehicles. They have plans to extend the number of models in the future.
All in all, total Sirius Satellite Radio volume is expected to reach about 250,000 (or 50% of Mercedes-Benz vehicles) sold over a two year period of time.
That's great news for Sirius!
