The long awaited arrival of Major League Baseball on XM Satellite Radio kicks off on the first of many new channels: Home Plate XM Channel 175 starts tomorrow, February 15th. (At the time of posting this, the channel page was not active - we assume it will be up and running on launch day)
MLB Home Plate will be your 24/7 source for all things baseball. Never miss a minute of your favorite teams, your favorite announcers and your favorite moments in baseball history and the upcoming season.
Features shows hosted by top notch baseball analysts including Rob Dibble from ESPN's Baseball Tonight, Kevin Kennedy from Fox MLB Game of the Week, and Charley Steiner from ESPN's SportsCenter to name just a few.
This is just the beginning of the massive MLB programming that XM is in the works of unveiling. Very tight lipped about what's coming down the pipe, we do know that XM has filed for several sevice marks in late January directly involving the MLB deal:
