NAB follows up with FCC, mentions Toyota again

NABThe NAB has sent a follow-up letter to the FCC after meeting with Commissioner Jonathan Adelstein, Rudy Brioché, and Christopher Naoum on Tuesday. The meeting was a follow-up of its own to discuss the NAB's "analysis" of Sirius-XM's A La Carte pricing.

In the letter, they list the US Senators and Representatives who voiced opposition to the merger, as well as other groups/individuals (like C3SR and American Antitrust Institute among others).

And they again depict Toyota as being on their side. They even add the following footnote:

"Even long-time XM partner Toyota expresses concerns that an XM-Sirius merger may harm
audio quality and consumer interests."

Wow. Seeing how Toyota reacted to the first "mischaracterization," I wonder how they'll react to this?

While the NAB's logic and professionalism are dwindling into nothingness... they have balls the size of watermelons!

They state that consumers in rural areas are against this merger. Have they even spoken to anyone in a rural area?

League of Rural Voters...?

Now, guys...have you given any thought that the NAB just didn't get to signing on to Orbitcast today to see the Toyota article? I mean, they do read it after all.

Hope Toyota follows up again--NAB really starting to distort now as they fired everything they had months ago and it doesnt look to be having a lasting effect since public opinion has swung around hard in favor of a merger--panic time brings panic moves...

link to toyota's original letter to the FCC, dated July 9th:

if you read it all the way thru, its painfully clear that Toyota has at least SOME concerns about the merger's affect on its customers.
