The National Black Chamber of Commerce (NBCC) today called the decision by the DOJ a "monumental step in providing increased access to diverse programming."
The NBCC also contends that throughout the process, the group has maintained precisely what the DOJ ultimately found: that there are "efficiencies likely to flow from the transaction that could benefit consumers." As a result, NBCC feels that the merger would be the first step towards more diverse programming.
The NBCC urged the FCC to approve the merger without "onerous merger conditions" so that all merger efficiencies can be realized.

Hey blacks, buy your own satellites and start your own company and you can have all the programming you want. Don't force everyone else to pay for it.
Nowhere do I see this group asking for any programming. In fact, they're asking the FCC to approve the merger without any conditions, which is opposite of what a group like Georgetown Partners is asking for.
National Black Chamber of Commerce glad to see racism is alive and well in the black community. NBCC? What if there was a organization named the National WHITE Chamber of Commerce? and It would have all the clout the NBCC? The NBCC would be much better off keeping "their" comments to themselves instead of putting out BS to the press and confirming they don't deserve press time.
"monumental step in providing increased access to diverse programming." BS There will be less choice, less bandwidth, and it's already proven to be more expensive. More fantasy land dreams of BS.
Oprah aka HNIC
Is the Rev. Jeremiah Wright a member of the NBCC?
I think they should rename their organization "Nation African American Chamber of Commerce." I find it counter productive to call your selfs two different things. Sometimes the word black is offensive but often used anyway in the same sentence.
Personally the word Caucasian is offensive to me. European American is more like it.

it's like the old saying goes "be careful what you wish for, you just might get it"
