I didn't realize that if you don't use the word rape when raping someone, then its not rape, just "rough" sex.
Interesting argument. Says a lot about the intelligence of anyone that believes it.
Its just "locker room talk". Maybe Ms. Wolf should go rent "The Accused" to see what laughing about rape might look like -- and the type of people that enjoy it.
Nothing off limits? Should O&A make fun of hanging blacks or gassing Jews? What about shooting presidents? No limits?

Jack... did you hear the word rape during the discussion? Oh... you didn't hear the discussion. Says a lot about your intelligence.
Maybe you should not use movie plots as backup for your arguments. BTW, O&A do make fun of gassing Jews, and hanging blacks. Not shooting presidents though.

"...not shooting presidents though."
Listen to their new show intro. :)
"I didn't realize that if you don't use the word rape when raping someone, then its not rape, just "rough" sex."
Listen closely, I'll say it nice and slow for you...
Words... actions... not the same.
Then again, I found The Accused sexy. Yeah, disregard the post. Tee Hee Hee!

Jack,
(Now there is an ironic name)
"I didn't realize that if you don't use the word rape when raping someone, then its not rape, just "rough" sex."
No, it's not rape and that word was never used, neither was rough sex. A homeless man was expressing his sexual desires which contained public figures.
"Interesting argument. Says a lot about the intelligence of anyone that believes it."
Interesting comment as many, many people not only understand that argument they AGREE with Debbie. (See any major news network Debbie Wolf has been on in the last month plus)
"Its just "locker room talk". Maybe Ms. Wolf should go rent "The Accused" to see what laughing about rape might look like -- and the type of people that enjoy it.

These two paragraphs say a lot about your educational background. You're basing your knowledge about the horrors of rape on a movie? One could argue YOU were interested enough to watch a movie that included rape and you used it as a form or entertainment. Also, nothing SHOULD be offlimits if we truly live in a country that supports free speech. The government allows the KKK to protest in and around Washington DC, NAMBLA is allowed to exist, documentaries and museums (forms of entertainment) depict assassinations. Why should there be a limit on HUMOR when there isn't a limit on other forms of ENTERTAINMENT?
The point Debbie is trying to get across is that freedom of speech means just that.. everyone can say what they want when they want as long as they are not committing the act. Although I'm positive you've never said an offensive word in your life you do have to realize that the minute WORDS are being censored (due to political pressure of interest groups) on a pay service like XM or Sirius you lose the ability to freely express yourself. If an interest group is able to influence the hiring and firings of broadcasters/reporters we have lost our freedom of speech. Where does censorship end? FM/AM/Sat Radio? Not likely, why not go after HBO/Showtime/Cinemax for their R-X rated shows? How about Fox News, CNN or MSNBC for their portrayal of the news and the opinions expressed on the stations?
Debbie is right, if you don't like what you are hearing or seeing turn off the radio or TV or change the channel.
