Well, it hasn't been quite one-year later, tomorrow will mark that day actually. But it was on President's Day last year when Sirius and XM announced their intent to merge.
Still, this article on CNN Money sums up the frustration and endless waiting game nicely.
I guess when Reps. Conyers and Chabot complained to the DOJ about "rushing" through the process, their criticism was taken to heart.

Good Point Ryan! Whatever the decision, no one will be able to criticize the DOJ or the FCC for rushing through the process....
Funny captions on that photo! Good stuff! It is definitely time to find out the result of the merger request, whether it is approved or denied.
How come credit card companies and banks are allowed to merger with such little problems and delays. Because the government can make money probably. When credit card companies merger the consumer is the least likely to benefit.
That is funny Ryan but how about our Portfolios talking about hurting.
Is that Mels Money counting hand?
Quck, Mel needs to get back in the tanning boof
It's ok.. take your time.. we just paid for another year on three radios.. take your time...
Stop the Pirates of Eckington.
I saw some of the XM flunkies at the Grammy's last week (you know who you are). I can't wait for the merger to go thru so Mel can take charge and stop the plundering at XM. These bunch of yo-yos are starting to make XM look like Tyco.
Bring on the merger

Because they are not merging to create a monopoly.
Thanks stack but Chase credit cards has a bigger market share than sirius and xm will ever have in their respective markets. If I want a visa or master card guess who they will come from 9 times out of 10.
...anyone you want. Your banking choices are certainly not controlled by any monopoly.
