Good exposure. I didn't find it that funny, but anthony makes fun of stern which was funny. i think they should have prepared themselves better so they don't mention stern and then click with each other like on air. felt bad for opie. Hey if you get on letterman, you're doin alright.

Actually it was Anthony who got divorced and part of the settlement was that he is not allowed to talk about her on the air (to protect her privacy) and she is not allowed to do anything similar to him (sorry stern fans, she wont be on badmouthing him).
As for the lobster story. Nobody cares. Trust me Sternfan73, if you ever actually get with a girl, she probably will have sucked another guy off. Its just the way the world is.

The gag order happened because of a few small jokes about Howard and his lifestyle - which was reported in the local papers. They just didn't start goofing on him for no reason.
The stuff about Howard's family came after Stern made every effort to silence any talk about him on the rival show. FWIW, O&A never ACTUALLY mentioned any specific details about Howard's daughter in regards to the 'Jingle Ball' incident. As I recall, people sort of just put 2 and 2 together from certain things said, and more info posted on the message boards.

And they continue to draw a bigger listenership because of that fact and because they can be heard on no less than 4 separate mediums daily (XM, Web stream, FM, DirecTV).
I recently went to a Stern standup show on Long Island. Bob Levy, Sal, and Shulie were accompanied by some local hacks. I have to say that they all sucked (and even unfortunately Levy). These are guys who provide content for Stern's channels? Their brand of humor consistently relies on "shocking" the audience so they can get a bevy "oh no you didn't" cat calls from the crowd. Sorry, it's 2006. That kind of boring dreck might have cut it back in the 80's/90's hack standup explosion but it doesn't now. Perhaps Anthony is correct in saying that Stern and his fans are stuck in a mindset that dates back 15-20 years. I don't care how many times you do it, you're not going to be funny by throwing out terms like pedophile, anal, and tits unless it's in some way clever.
