O&A Traveling VirusThe Opie and Anthony Traveling Virus Comedy Tour is opening its doors to the U.S. military in a special tribute to our troops. For all remaining tour dates, anyone with a valid military ID can get into the shows for free.

Tickets will be made available for pick-up prior to show day to anyone presenting a valid military ID in Detroit (August 4th), Bristow, VA (August 18), Holmdel, NJ (August 25) and Camden, NJ (September 15). The tickets will be distributed on a first come, first serve basis while supplies last.

"We have so much respect for our troops both here and all over the world. We just want to do our little part to show those men and women we are completely behind them," said Gregg 'Opie' Hughes.

"These guys are going to be busting their asses all summer, and we just want them to take a little break and have a bunch of laughs and enjoy a great comedy show for one night," said Anthony 'Anthony' Cumia.

Jim Norton, who will be one of the many comics featured on the tour, encouraged anyone attending a Traveling Virus Comedy show to buy his new book "Happy Endings: The Tales of a Meaty-Breasted Zilch" now available in stores.

More details are available on the Traveling Virus MySpace page.

Love the Happy Endings reference!

0.0, Hacks, Sell Outs, Cant sell out a venue, etc.
Ron and Fez do it better anyway, only on XM Satellite Radio.

What are the actual ticket sales for these venues? I seriously doubt there are any sell-out crowds.

How well is Jimmy Norton's book selling according to the NY Times? It was #153 at last glance.

Greg and Tony. 0.0 Radio Hacks!

Does the NYT Book Review even list the top 100 books? Don't underestimate the Orbitcast effect, it's jumped up to #101 on Amazon.

I'll save the rest of the Stern zombies the trouble: Zero. Point. Zero. I'm a sheep.

Team East Side Dave FTW

"Zero point Zero" is no more annoying of a reference than "HooHoo" or "Tell 'em Fred".

Jimmy's book is currently the 8th best seller for nonfiction according to the new york times today, i believe it was at #4 this morning.

Chocolate rain...

The same shit goeing back and forth again
Chocolate rain...
pests and zombies repeat their lines again
Chocolate rain...
Perhaps some day they'll all just go away

It's obvious that the 0.0 Traveling Void Tour is turning out to be a huge flop. Hell, they couldn't even sell out Jones Beach in the middle of their home market!!

Under the guise of supporting the troops, this is just another gimmick to try and spare the balding, middle-aged "bboys" the embarassment of playing to a sea of empty seats. Ditto with their "$10 Ticket Tuesday" promotion.

The clone failures are in full-on panic mode! Ho.o Ho.o, tell 'em Fred!

@Toonhead

"Pests" and "Zombies" is incorrect terminology.

It's "Sheep" and "Stern Fans".

Question -

If the Virus Tour was such a flop, why was it booked again at more venues this year? As for sellouts, you're talking about a comedy arena tour - I know they have set sales records for comedy shows at some of the venues.

If it's such as failure, as the zombies claimed it was last year - then this should be the last year for it, right?

Who gives a fuck if it sells out or not? People are going to have a good time, and that's all that really matters. Jesus, let it go already. You're not doing much to help your cause.

The XM suspension and CBS censorship of the Opie and Anthony show have definitely hurt the tour. That's too bad, because the tour is more about the great stand-up comics than it is about Opie and Anthony. I went to the Mohegan Sun show, and O & A didn't even take the stage until the show was half over. They let Rich Vos do all of the MC work.

The Mohegan Sun show wasn't a sellout, but it was close to it.

Hello, can we please cut the Stern vs. O&A garbage for once and just say, "Hey, that's a great thing to do for the guys (and girls) risking getting their asses blown up in the Middle East?" I don't care if you love Stern and hate O&A, sometimes you have to look at the bigger picture here. I for one am no superfan of either Stern or O&A, but that's a nice gesture, and I applaud them for doing it.
