Oprah and XM to ring NASDAQ opening bell on Monday
Oprah Winfrey and XM Satellite Radio CEO Hugh Panero will be ringing the NASDAQ opening bell on Monday, September 25th, to celebrate the launch of the "Oprah & Friends" channel on XM.
Oprah’s fellow on-air hosts from "Oprah & Friends" will also be there. Remember, later that night Oprah and her friends will also appear on Larry King Live on CNN at 9pm ET.
Sounds like it's going to be a big day.

Wasn't the stock price twice what it is now when we signed Oprah?
XM's new slogan should be: "Big Tracks & Big Blacks"

Nice comments, guys. Geez.
XM's exposure the past few months has been minimal, and the little exposure they have had has been negative (NAB, RIAA, FCC etc). Getting positive exposure through one of the most successful media giants is very positive for XM. Will Oprah bring in many subs? It is very, very possible. Let's see what she does. Whether you are a fan of hers or not, it's hard to discount the marketing power she can bring.

Sirius' stock was trading at nearly 8 bucks a share one month before Howard went on the air. Now it's at $3.90. XM is the leader. Better stock, better content, better radios, more customers, more cars, more channels. Now sit down, kid.
