Pardon our appearance...
...while we fix a few things around here.
I know a lot of folks (including myself) were getting very frustrated with the buggy/slowness of the site, so I'm upgrading the entire system to something more gooder. As a result, some stuff may not be working up to par.
In the meantime, the Orbitcast Forums are still up and running without any problems.
UPDATE: Looks like everything is working again, with the exception of the links to other blogs/websites on the right (those had to get killed for the moment). But everything else is going strong now.

Well...the additional google ads are certainly an improvement!
In fairness, it's only by perception that there are more google ads; I don't know for a fact that there are more. And no one wants to deny Ryan the ability to pay his server bills, or be compensated for his obvious hard work.

ha! nope, there's no additional ads. I think with the links gone from the right, the Sponsored Links have bumped up higher - making seem like there's more? I dunno.
Look for more fun changes in the near future.

Nice job Ryan - the site seems more responsive.
We lost the ' .... enter Orbitcat' when we post.
Did you know that?

Yeah, I'm monitoring the SPAM situation. That was used as an anti-spam measure, but if the new system doesn't need it, I won't add it. :)
There's a ton more benefits to this upgrade other than just being more robust (I'm still not 100% happy with the comment speed fwiw), but I just wanted to make everything work FIRST, before tweaking with the code.
