Pioneer Inno in PC World's 20 Most Innovative Products of the Year
The Pioneer Inno's name is derived from the stem of the word "Innovative."
So it's with a bit of a chuckle, a wink-wink, and perhaps even a jab to the ribs, that we see the Inno as one of PC World's 20 Most Innovative Products of the Year.
Their reasoning for bestowing this honor is the Inno's ability to receive a live XM signal and record/store songs, as well as bookmark them for purchase later.

Thanks Jessica!

Where's Philmore? I know he wants to comment by asking "what?" and "how?".
His Stiletto lovefest was quite annoying earlier this year.

Unlike the Inno, the Stiletto actually gets a signal. The Inno's reception downright blows.

Your statement is quite different then what others have said. SatRadMadMan speaks for EVERYONE now! Since he knows that no matter where you are in the continental US....your inno gets terrible reception. Well I'm sorry to be so different than you SatRadMadMan but I get great reception(sat. and terr.) from within my house and around the area. SO once again it shows that reception depends on location, and not everyone lives with you SatRadMadMan.

So you mean all the people that praise the Inno and its awesome reception and the people that hate the Stiletto and say it has constant dropouts and is too bulky are all wrong...because satradmadman says so? Well that settles it then.

ahigee unlike most XMers on this board I get great reception on Stilleto just fine.

Anyone who says the Inno's reception stinks is obviously either ignorant, an Sirius fan boy, or comparing the reception to that of an AM/FM radio. I own an Inno, along with a handful of other XM devices. The Inno's reception is noticeably better than previous devices. Also, if the Stilletto's reception was so much better, then maybe it'd be on this list instead of the disappointment list.

My Inno gets perfect reception. As ahigee said earlier it depends where you live.

The Inno IS a remarkable product! My reception has been great in some areas, not so great in others. Just like in real estate, it's all about location.

I take a train from upstate New York (No Repeaters) into Manhattan. Lose reception once on the trip. And in Manhattan, forget about it. The Inno works in buildings.

Am I the only one who noticed that Microsoft Office 2007 made the #1 spot on that list? IMO, that invalidates the list. So who cares if they thought that the Inno is better than the Stilletto. Anyone who thinks that Office is innovative is full of it by default.

and do you feel cool with that bulky antenna headset that is needed for the stiletto asherdude ?
Posted by: bloody cape | January 1, 2007 5:57 AM
bloody cape. despite what you may have heard (and obviously not experienced) the antenna headphones are NOT required.

True, you can get no reception with them so you may as well not use them. Unless you really want to stick out like the ass you are for using this doorstop they call a "stiletto".
