It's not the fact that you post a different opinion. It's that you do the following.

1) Use a lot of sarcasm and "spam-like" sayings, such as "merge" MONOPOLY and Melvin Alan "Mel" Karmizan. Not only that, but you repeat them constantly. This is what Ryan has called you out on directly. You have also done thi

2) Continue to hijack threads talking about HD Radio, which is not the primary purpose of this blog. Granted, others tend to dislike HD radio a little too much, but posting the press-release like entries is annoying.

3) You insult your fellow posters. Instead of expressing your opinions, you call anybody who disagrees with you "blind, ignorant fanboys", and attack posters with ad hominems as soon as they either insult HD Radio or point out these problems with your posts. This is what makes you different than the other posters. I've seen others have different opinions such as being against the merger, and they gave reasoned arguments.

This is a Satellite Radio Blog, and if you're not a fan of Satellite Radio, you should at least be respectful that it run by a Satellite radio enthusiast, and watched by consumers and fans of Satellite Radio. I am respectful of the medium and the audience when I write--if I were to take part on a Conservative Blog (if I was Liberal), or a Liberal Blog (if I was conservative), I would be willing to debate some points--but if I did something like say "Obama/McCain Sucks and all their fans are Retarded and Ignorant Lowlifes", how soon do you think that would be tolerated? WOW....does that test pattern bring back memories. We would wait for either Kate Smith or the Big Payoff with Bert Parks at 4:00 pm for the test pattern to disappear and wait for Howdy Doody, Buffalo Bob Smith...then John Cameron Swazy and the News on our 14 inch Admiral TV. The names have accountability when tied into an account. If you can't post without registering, you can't engage in bad behavior without taking the risk of being banned. You can also fake another person, which some people delight in doing here. And it's easy to tie in things to IP addresses in case of Bad Behavior. So, registered comments allows some accountability.

Ryan doesn't like the forum. I heard he wants to make sure the blog ties into discussion. MovableType (the software that powers this blog) just released their social version of the software, which might be what Ryan wants to use.

Some of those Web 2.0 tools can be savvy. Like I said, all you'd have to do is implement a complex Anti-Spam routine. Something that could use Regular Expressions to get rid of repetitive slogans. Either that, or Ryan could just approve comments a few times a day and be done with it that way.

Or you implement something like Slashdot where you mod down posts that are irrelevant and up posts that are relevant.
