Quentin Tarantino, the writer and director of the new film Inglourious Basterds starring Brad Pitt, will share his personal music playlist with Sirius XM listeners on Little Steven's Underground Garage (Sirius channel 25 and XM channel 59) today, August 21 at 3pm ET.
"[This list includes].. some of the music I was listening to while making my movie Inglourious Basterds," said Quentin Tarantino. "Now these songs don't necessarily have a damn thing to do with the movie. These were some of the ones I was listening to in my off time."
Hosted by Tarantino himself, the special will include songs by artists like David Bowie, Jay-Z, Andy Kim, Britney Spears, Barbra Streisand and KT Tunstall. Tarantino will also share some stories about the artists on his list, including what it was like performing with Wu Tang Clan, how friends of his made a home video to the Roy Orbison song, "There Won't Be Many Coming Home," and his great appreciation for Bob Dylan.
The special will also air on Sirius XM's The Spectrum (Sirius channel 18 and XM channel 45), on Saturday, August 22nd at 8am, 1pm and 10pm; and Tuesday, August 25th at 11am and 11pm and on Alt-Nation (Sirius channel 21 and XM channel 47), on Sunday, August 23rd at 12pm, 6pm and 12am; and Monday, August 24th at 11am and 4pm (all times Eastern).
If you miss today's airing at 3pm, Tarantino's playlist will be rebroadcast on Underground Garage again today at 7pm and 11pm; and once again on Saturday, August 22nd at 3am (all times Eastern).

Why spend money paying for siriusfm?
Little Steven's Underground Garage is a weekly syndicated radio show heard on over 200 terrestrial FM radio stations in 130 major cities in the USA and in many countries outside the US. The two-hour show is written, hosted and produced by Van Zandt. The show debuted on approximately 30 US stations in 2003 and has become one of the fastest-growing syndicated music radio shows in the US. It is heard by approximately one million listeners in the US each week."
You're kidding, right? Underground Garage isn't merely a radio show (though it technically is that), it's an entire channel...and one of the *few* musical bright spots in SiriusXM's musical lineup. A good mix of rockabilly, proto-punk, and obscure garage rock. You either get it or you don't. A great station, well-programmed.
The only ones "kidding" are those "kidding" themselves that paying for siriusfm is somehow justified.
Underground Garage on FM radio has more listeners than a whole week on siriusfm aka newb and sucker radio.
You said it...great station, good sounding jocks who don't talk too much, and it's obvious Mel and the boys have been told to back off when it comes to LS' channel. He would not be involved if those paper-pushers tried to tell him what to do.
Two hour show, with commercials. Why are here with this bullshit. Isnt there an fm radio blog site you can go to? Fuck off.
To the Blubba Army-all I have to say is " Red Dragons !!!" .
Are you kidding, change the fricking name of the channel, it is no way channel about underground rock. Underground rock would be dominated by psychedelic and early progressive rock. Deep Tracks covers alot of the same stuff as Underground Garage, but doesn't come close to covering the real underground. Keep the punk on the punk channels. Obviously, the NY personality about rock rules SXM now, and NY never produced a single good psychedelic or progressive rock band in the 60's and early 70's. CA and England did.
I'm so into this ! I've always wanted to listen to what other people like instead of listening to what I like and to have a Dj tell me what he or she did on the weekend or their veiws on politics while the song starts playing . Sirius Fm sucks ass and really is for the sheep of the world .
Never ceases to amaze me. You want to complain about satellite radio service that you don't use and won't pay for? You're wasting your time and ours reading this forum and posting anything here. You obviously have many entertainment choices...use some of those available to you and stop bitching.
For those who live in rural areas that can't even get dial-up, and where terrestrial radio TRULY sucks, satellite radio is a lifesaver. It may not be perfect, but it's all there is.

Wow you are a newb and sucker completely bent over taking whatever Melvin pushes your way. Keep forking over the cash to Melvin, he loves/counts on his subscribers to be blind and ignorant.
Hey, retard.
If you hate satellite radio so much and don't care to suscribe, why are you here?
Wait. Don't answer. It's because you are a fool, and a troll, and have too much free time. Bored with the X-Box your mom bought you already? I can relate...I'm bored with your mom's box too.
Don't like it, go somewhere else. We won't miss you.
