Reason #332 Why Terrestrial Radio Sucks
Last week, Los Angeles lost its last Country music station - KZLA-FM - which was replaced with a Pop music format... the wacky "Movin' 93.9."
I could go on and on about this, but there's no need when this video says it all (via Hear 2.0):

Thanks a lot Ryan. Those are 2 minutes that I will not get back today.

who cares I hate country music, if they took this station off it probably means no one was listening

I found a new love for Country when i got XM. Highway 16 is awesome to drive to, and X Country is just flat out amazing. "Turning Country on its Ass". XM is running promos on 202 about stations loosing country.

Su-su-suckio.
Karl and Googie and the Morning Zoo team?! You... are... Gay.
And, it's a Clear Channel station.

WHY is XM's marketing department doing commercials for terrestrial radio? (only they are capable of something that horrible)

Serious question:
Is that an actual radio add, or someone making fun of how lame terrestiral radio is?
I honestly cannot tell here.

It's actually a spoof ad meant to prove a point. Sure, you may not like Country, but that's not the point either.
The "variety" that terrestrial tries to push down our throat is anything but. It's all fluff advertising with no meat.

Here a thought...
Did you ever think that maybe compaines like Clear Channel are getting rid of certain music channels on free radio to force people to sign up for Xm or Siruis. Country music is usually listened to by adults that range in the age of 21-50. Most of those people in the country station in their area left would be able to afford an XM or Siriuis, but people that might listen to dance or hip-hop stations are of a younger generation and maybe they wouldn't want to get a satellite radio subiscription.
Thus forcing a certain demographic of people to pay for what they used to get free. KZLA was a big station with billboards all over the southland, while I didnt listen to the station is hard to believe the floor got pulled up from under all of their listeners.

ClearChannel and Infinity are the anti-christ. It almost seems they are trying to mimic satellites model by using several programming loops and formats nationally. All that talk about "culture in your backyard" (where they blab about the same format in each city with local spice. All the local spice is is traffic and weather. This is what you get when a bunch of Texan Hillbillies run our country and radio stations.

I swear, that commercial is EXACTLY what one of our ClearChannel stations here in town is like. A bunch of restaurants in town use it, and my wife and I have gone for months where everytime we go to one of those restaurants, Collins is on.
