Red Sox Special Edition Volvo C30 features Sirius standard

Red Sox Volvo C30

Commissioned by Volvo and Major League Baseball, this Special Edition Boston Red Sox Volvo C30 isn't just possibly the most psychotic of all Bo' Sox memorabilia... but it features Sirius too!

Only 107 of these Special Edition C30s will be produced, with each car built to commemorate the Red Sox's victory during the 2007 season and bearing a numbered dash plaque authenticated by the MLB. The numbered plaque indicates which of the 107 victories each individual car represents (and the 107th car will be donated to charity).

The team's logo is worn on the front fenders, while a larger transparent logo is featured inside the rear glass hatch - oh, and the logo is also featured on the floor mats. Did I mention it comes with Sirius?

Price? Only $29,465. Available only at select Volvo Retailers in New England.

107 of them? RedSox/ MLB and this is a Ford product with Sirius? Strange... Extreemly strange.... An MLB commishioned car and you cant ge tthe games on Sirius? WTF?

Strange , since Major League Baseball games are on XM .

MLB is jumping the ball alittle here, the Merger has not gone through yet.

A Patriot Special addition Ford Explorer to commemorate the Perfect season would be nice

Eh. If Chevy put out a limited-edition Dallas Cowboys truck, you'd expect it to have XM, even though Sirius has the NFL The upscale Volvo models have Sirius, and if you're doing a limited edition with a premium price, you've got to include all the bells and whistles. We all focus WAY too much on this kind of minutiae.

Does it really matter if the MLB is on XM. The Ottawa Senators center ice has 2 big Sirius Logo's on it.

Well, you have to read between the lines here. The Red Sox and their fans are all mildly to severly retarded, so commissioning a volvo with satellite radio that didnt broadcast the games is probably genius to most of those jerk-offs.

The Yankee's version is a Mercedes Benz which comes with Sirius standard; however, the difference here is the Yankees fans are all able to afford season tickets and YES network, so we don't need to listen in the car. We just like to hear Artie pick apart New England.

(just kidding in all of this, except how the Red Sox and their fans are a$$wipes.)

I priced out a C30 and they nickel and dime you. It's ridiculous. They want $50 for cruise control and stuff. The 21k car quickly becomes 30k with just the basics. Didnt like it!

too bad--this was the only other place to get XM with good sound quality. DirecTv is the other. XMRO is mediocre, and the sat feed is atrocious.

XM is the worst sounding audio product on the market-including FM.

The Yankees lost to the Cleveland Indians in the playoffs last year . lol

Looks like the pirates of Eckington screwed up with this one too. Is baseball going the same place as Nascar?? To Sirius??

Ok, my turn:

BOSTON SUCKS BOSTON SUCKS BOSTON SUCKS BOSTON SUCKS BOSTON SUCKS

Hey, Volvo brought the Pacer back!

Don't worry...the "pirates of Eckington" are all over this and have brought it to the attention of MLB and the Sox and these will probably not be produced w/ any satellite radio

anyone interested should contact me. I am in sales for the largest Volvo dealer in New England.

Yankee fans need not apply. Or at least the ones bad-mouthing us faithful.

Not true about the "quickly adds up to $30,000".

My wife chose several nice extras -- power seats, heated seats, xenon headlights, etc. -- and it still came in just under $26,000. FWIW, I drive a Beamer 525i -- which cost us $20,000 more -- and actually far prefer hers!

This car rocks, and is great value at the price.

(Both are standards -- auto transmissions are no fun at all in very hilly, rural country like where we live...).
