Rumored Sirius Channel Changes

SiriusThe boys at Sirius Uplink have learned from a "reliable source" that there's going to be some lineup channels in the works, though admittedly a time-table is apparently lacking.

First up is Reggae Rhythms, which supposedly will be taking the place of the beloved The Who Channel at channel number 98. Then Sirius Disorder will reportedly move into Reggae Rhythms' spot at channel 32.

And then the good news (because I know you're still crying over The Who Channel), a new channel - supposedly a 90s Alt-Rock channel - is rumored to be arriving on channel 24. So turn that frown upside-down Frank, everything's going to be alright.

thanks for the link xmscott further proving how unfunny ona really are!

do you actually pay xm $12.95 a month to listen to that crap?

Layoffs and channel changes? Interesting that this is the same company that was supposedly interested in buying the other. Looks more like the little doggie bit off more than it can chew and now is choking to death on its overextension.

Cool. I loved the Super 90s Weekend on Alt Nation.

Ryan, can't you delete unrelated spam comments from bitter O&A fans?

"thanks for the link xmscott further proving how unfunny ona really are!"

I have to agree Opie & Anthony are not funny as of late. I personally I have stopped listening to there show. Never was a huge fan to begin with but listened occasionally. I'm assuming your a Stern fan Philmore. I can't say Stern himself was ever funny. He is the same material over and over again with no laughs. His Sirius show isn't interesting, entertaining, or anything worth listening too. I've learned the hard way. His K-Rock show did have a few entertaining moments but no thanks to Stern himself. People who subscribe to Sirius just for Stern are really wasting their money. How about that Howard 101 channel? What a joke.

I take it , that there's no chance of the Globe (World Music);that used to be on Sirius channel 98, coming back ?

Philmore, we pay $12.95 for XM programming. If you like O&A it's a bonus. You pay $12.95 to listen to Stern while you tickle your balls. That's a rip-off.

Seriously - that's ALL you keyboard cowboys can come up with? Stern rules, O&A rules, Stern sucks, O&A sucks. GET A LIFE, tools.

I like music. I prefer Sirius. You like music, you prefer XM. WHAT THE F DO I CARE? We're all loving this new media, why do we care about anyone elses preferences?

I like Pepsi too, do I care if Coke suffers? Are Coke drinkers losers? You all are a joke.

I can't believe Sirius is doing away with The Who channel. That is my favorite band of all time. Two of my friends signed up just for that channel. they will not be happy. The Who and NFL are my two favorite channels. I would really like to know why? Is it because Roger Daltrey doesn't want it on there anymore or what? Please explain. Thanks.

First off, Well said TK101.
Second, Dwight - The Who Channel was never meant to be a full time channel. It was just to promote their recent tour. It was payola. The same was done with The Rolling Stones and Springsteen.

TK101 is on the money!

TK101, I agree about the shock jock shows but when you talk about musical content, you like "A" and I like "B" is good for now but since everyone here is speculating on a merger, it becomes more important. I much prefer XM's music, I felt like Sirius plays the same 20 songs I hear on FM just w/o the commercials. In the case of a merger, how the music is presented becomes a major issue. I'd cancel if the music was programmed by Sirius, just the same as someone who likes Sirius's playlist's may cancel should XM take over the programming for one merged company. That's why you should care.

If you like Coke but they are bought by Pepsi and switch to one formula for the flavor, you may just not buy cola at all.
