Samsung NeXus on Woot! (Sold Out)
The Samsung NeXus 25 is on woot! today, but don't get too excited because it's sold out already. And rightfully so.
Woot! put the NeXus 25 up for on $19.99 plus free activation and one free month of service. But wait, there's more. The woot! deal also includes 15% off accessories using the XM coupon code ES06Q415.
All for $20 - no wonder it sold out (they go on sale at 12am central time).
Thanks Matt!

Comments
Wow! 60% of them sold in the first hour. This is encouraging. 5,700 total neXus's were sold today. That's kinda neat.

How many will remain after the free month?

Two of those babies are mine. Also, if you read the comments (and ignore the "who is better" ones) you will see plenty of people who really wanted one but didn't get in. A nice sign. :)

Selling 60% of the inventory in the first hour is nothing by Woot's standards. They posted some stats a few months ago (that I can't find now) and the sheer volume of traffic and sales during the prior Woot-off was obscene.

It all depends on the amount of inventory. If they have 10 items, and sold 9 in the first hour, that's 90%; if they have 10,000 and sold 2,000 in the first hour, it's only 20%. Therefore, it's hard to say if the 60% of Nexus inventory is good or bad compared to other Woot sales, as the inventory on the other items may have been more or less.
The way I look at it, 5,700 units were sold in a few hours -- that is potentially 5,700 new subscribers. Not too bad for a few hours of work. I don't recall BB or CC selling that many sat radios in day!

XM is still in business?

I'm a regular wooter and an XM owner for almost a year. I had bought one of these at Circuitcity.com (after reading the review here first of course) for $79.99. I managed to get 2 of these before they sold out so I'm gonna take hers back and have a spare in case my MyFi dies (plus for $20 I have an extra home kit). If I hadn't already blown most of my Christmas money already I would have bought 6 of them at this price (I have two woot accounts).

DogerBlues, you must have been sleeping. No, XM's still in business and still very much the market leader with about 2.5 million more subs than the competition.
