Under their recent signing with the SEC, XM will be broadcasting the SEC Baseball Tournament, May 23rd - May 27th, live from Regions Park in Hoover, Ala. (near Birmingham) on XM's SEC Channel (ch 199).
Game 1 begins at 10am CT on May 23rd. The championship game will air May 27th at 3pm CT. This is the first time the tournament has aired nationwide on satellite radio.
Southeastern Conference baseball leads the nation with the highest attendance among college baseball programs across the U.S. The same fervor that SEC fans have for football and basketball extends to the baseball stadium, where fans tailgate, rivalries are hot, and games are carried on local broadcasting outlets. SEC baseball on satellite radio has a special appeal forr the displaced fan – the SEC fan who can’t hear the games locally, can now hear the games on XM.
Starting this fall, XM will air select SEC football and basketball games on XM channels 199 - 201. XM will also air the SEC football and basketball championships, plus other SEC sports and SEC specials.
