Should Sirius fire Judith Regan?
An interesting thought was brought up on Radar Online: will Sirius Satellite Radio follow HarperCollins' lead and fire Judith Regan?
According to the NY Times, Rupert Murdoch personally called for her firing after he heard of "comments that were deemed anti-Semitic." The bad press surrounding her is undeniable, and apparently the Anti-Defamation League is "looking into the matter" which could add to the pressure for Sirius to distance themselves.
A source told Radar that he doubts Mel would fire her unless the matter gets worse. "Mel has a long history of taking people who are getting the crap beaten out of them and picking them back up," says their source. "His first reaction would be to let the person who's in deep trouble have some time to dig themselves out."
What do you all think?
(As a side note, due to Judith Regan's recent "rise in popularity" several comments have been posted blasting her - many of which I didn't publish because they were just a little too nuts - but you can read the remainders here and here.)

Comments
Yes, she needs to be fired. It makes Sirius look bad for having her on their roster of "Sirius Stars".

Yes, fire that media whore. She's got a piece of shit show and is an even bigger piece of shit herself. Howard even finds her disgusting. Bye bye bitch!

Judith Regan being fired from Sirius? I can't believe she is taking the blame from Murdoch and his cronies. Murdoch okayed this, then pretended he did not have anything to do with it. Let her have her job on Sirius. Mel will do the right thing.

Is this why Sirius isn't offering a competing Hanukkah station for the holidays? ;)

hmmmm, anti-Semitic comments -> wow, maybe she will have the top movie in America for one week in December next year!!!
Sirius should keep her..... I enjoyed her explanation show on Sirius a few weeks ago on why she decided to publish OJ's (sort of) confession...
I am not a big fan of censorship. I hope she wins her lawsuit against News Corp. Rupert is a jerk...

Absolutely not! Judith did nothing wrong! If the show aired it would have definitely gotten extremely high ratings. Whoever says they wouldn't watch it is full of shit! Everyone would say they won't watch it but mysteriously the ratings would have been through the roof!
What Sirius ought to do is let Regan broadcast it on her show. Guaranteed 100K subs.
Rupert Murdoch pussed out on this one. I love how all of the sudden Fox found God. Of all companies!

>> Absolutely not! Judith did nothing wrong!
If publishing a book to put money in the hands of OJ who killed two innocents is "nothing wrong", I guess.
I personally find it shameful that anyone would participate in such a venture.

She was scapegoated by those whores at Fox. But speaking of whores, she is one for trying the OJ deal and trying to make it something it wasn't.
How about their ALL shameless whores and if they all fired themselves we'd have commercials back.
If OJ can get away wither Murder, and Bush can fuck up the country and not be run out on a rail ( but instead damned to a legacy of shame ) than this twat can keep blabbering.

Isn't part of the beauty of satradio that it's uncencored? Besides, News Corp was completely behind this until it blew up in their faces. You think Judith did this whole deal on her own without the complete knowledge and approval of her employer? Whether you agree with the book or not, she's a scapegoat. A cunt, yes, but she shouldn't lose her job for that.

They should not fire her. She generates a ton of publicity. Ultimate blame for the OJ fiasco rests with that scumbag Murdock, anyway...

Does anyone know how to find the archives of Judith Regan's Sirius show?
